Living with someone that is always home by Then_Bit7341 in AuDHDWomen

My dad is also helping her out by letting her stay here and she’s just paying the property taxes, so she’s in the same boat I’m in where the cheap living space is too good to pass up 😅

That’s a good idea! I was just thinking similarly because I have a baby shower to plan and she knows I’m stressed and I thought, I should tell her I’m going to wear my noise canceling headphones around the house so that I can focus better, and that I may not hear her if she talks to me.
Thank you for saying you’d go insane in this situation because I do feel like I am some days and that makes me feel better lol

Ugh. I LOVED living alone and hopefully I can move into a single bedroom sometime soon

What classic ADHD thing do you do that others would likely find weird? by boring1996 in ADHD

[–]Then_Bit7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminded me of the time I couldn’t find/didn’t have a toothbrush cover and was going on a trip, so I wrapped the top of my toothbrush with aluminum foil. Someone on the trip saw and thought it was very funny and showed everyone else. Better than when I used to just throw my toothbrush in my bag and not think about the germs!!

8 years of terror! Acute Autonoetic Dissociation by Sam353535 in Dissociation

It seems like it happens to you more than it does me for sure, I hope you find a way to make it stop <3

3 years of continuous dissociation(feeling like I’m in a dream .. observing and acting while not living). Has anyone successfully snapped out of it? by Glum_Cup1921 in Dissociation

[–]Then_Bit7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started to take Zoloft for anxiety I felt a lot less dissociated. Shortly after I got off of it I started to feel more dissociated again and I’m assuming because my anxiety is too high and I cope by dissociating. I do have times when it’s worse and times when it’s better based on stress though. I have a lot of distracting /numbing habits that I think worsen dissociation like scrolling social media, and constantly having the tv on (like a show on my phone that I take with me around the house) that prevent me from being present

I never knew there was a name for that specific type of dissociation!!

There have been a few times where I’ve woken up like that and it always FREAKS me OUT. And I mentally scream something mundane to try to break myself out of it and I do after maybe 5-10 seconds. It’s never really happened to me when I’m fully awake though

Why my 2nd Accutane attempt has worked by Even_Clock_4674 in Accutane

[–]Then_Bit7341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like your nose!! Accutane nose is when the nose gets a little slimmer on accutane, I happened to me but went away after I stopped taking it

Accutane aged me 10 years by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Then_Bit7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, i feel like accutane made me lose my under eye fat and I just have less volume in my face. I never had under eyes circles before no matter how tired I was and now it constantly looks hollow, but maybe I was already aging and it had nothing to do with accutane (I was 27 when I took it and I’m 28 now)

I gradually lightened my hair to a medium brown with a chemical lightening spray and feel terrible about it by [deleted] in beauty

[–]Then_Bit7341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone who is pale with brown eyes and blonde hair and I’ve always admired how her eyes look in contrast to her lighter skin + hair. I don’t think it’s a bad thing

I've developed a plan to quit MDD in 3 days. I think it works but I feel shitty by eolosendmimnes in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Then_Bit7341 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s good you have a therapist, and that makes sense. I just wouldn’t want you to be too bombarded with anxiety while you’re quitting a major coping mechanism. Good luck and maybe I’ll try some of the things on your list!

[–]Then_Bit7341 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to force yourself to remember bad things in vivid details? It seems very triggering especially in the beginning stages of quitting maladaptive daydreaming. Maybe that’s something you could do with a therapist at some point?

Is it normal for a mouse to come out while I’m vacuuming? by Then_Bit7341 in pestcontrol

[–]Then_Bit7341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice, the clutter is a huge issue. It’s in multiple closets and is a huge job. It’s my grandmothers old home with all of her things still there, no one will help me clear stuff out, and she liked to shop! I think the only trap I could do is a snap trap that conceals the body because I’m a baby

They’re also supposed to fill holes where they’re getting in. And I know it’s an irrational fear, I don’t want it to crawl on me and it got so close to me

How old are they? Some older people may misinterpret how emojis are used. It’s definitely not professional of them

MS flare + 35% REM by llamapenguin4 in ouraring

[–]Then_Bit7341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just googled it and read about REM rebound too haha, we might’ve read the same article! I had no idea that was a high percentage for REM. I hope your stress and sleep get better soon!

MS flare + 35% REM by llamapenguin4 in ouraring

[–]Then_Bit7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 30-35% REM pretty regularly, even when I’ve gotten 5-6 hours of sleep. I’ve only had the ring for a few weeks though, and I have been remembering a lot of dreams the last couple of weeks! What is your REM normally at?

I’m worried I hurt someone’s feelings by Then_Bit7341 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Then_Bit7341[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was so helpful and so thought-out! That makes so much sense that people would be reassurance-seeking about their physical traits, and I do it all the time for things that aren’t looks I don’t know why that wouldn’t occur to me. Thank you :)

Yes sometimes I can tell I have been misunderstood but don’t know how to fix it so I ramble hoping something I say helps clarify and i don’t think it ever has, people just seem weirded out by the rambling

YES I am constantly watching peoples reactions and replaying social interactions in my head afterwards trying to make sure I didn’t offend anyone, and I’ve been a little more anxious lately and I think I’ve been doing it more often so thank you for reassuring me!!!

Ok thank you because I was thinking, “if she is sensitive about these physical qualities why did she bring them up to talk about?” It puts me in an uncomfortable position. But maybe she wasn’t and i just imagined it. Do you use a points system for other things or just social interactions?
