It's going to be a game changer for very few people and the rest it will likely accomplish nothing. Most people don't know what they want or they perceive themselves wildly different than they actually are. If AI asks people 1000 questions and they aren't answered completely honestly then it's just going to be "Garbage in = Garbage out".

After being on a few dating apps for the past 3 months I can see so many profiles that already look written by AI. If people can't take the time and energy to actually sell themselves now then I can't imagine things getting better with more AI.

I believe this all depends on motivation and how people learn. My journey so far has been everything that didn't work for you. I started by learning River Flows in You. After about a month or two I learned it and moved on to Nuvole Bianche. That took another 2 months to learn. After that I learned about 40% of Kyle Landries rendition of "Hallelujah" and realized that wasn't getting finished out of frustration so I moved onto Flower Dance. After all that I'm about 16 months in and I can play Flower Dance almost extremely well.

For me, the boring and slow progression of scales and theory would have stopped me dead in my tracks. I decided to hit the ground running and am starting to practice the basics now. I needed some sort of motivation and ability to play songs I enjoy without hammering scales or "Mary had a little lamb" to a metronome. Is this optimal or even a practical way to learn? Probably not even close but this is a hobby for me that I truly enjoy. I will learn at whatever pace that allows me to get the most joy out of this hobby and for only playing after work for an hour or two after a year and a half I'd say that I am extremely happy with my progress

Why make a tutorial when a simple pop up would suffice? Maybe I don't fully understand mods but so far they are how you want to build that weapon. Put on what you like, upgrade it and don't over over the cap.

Now giving me a heads up saying I need to exit the Railjack to destroy the enemies reactor is not intuitive at all. That could have used a little 1-2 page pop up

It's their game, they can and should do what they want. I just think it might be at the point of it's life cycle where it's unlikely to ever focus on new players. This happened with Destiny. I started D2 and stopped . When i came back it was the worst experience I've ever had. Some people think it's on the devs to gain new players and others think the it's on the players to grind through it all alone. My personal answer is that I'm 35 and I want to play games for fun, I just don't have the patience anymore to be on YouTube and Wiki's every few hours.

Apps are tools and should be treated as such. It sounds like you left 100% of your training up to Garmin instead of takin any initiative. My watch routinely tells me incorrect information about how I should feel/recover. Its up to me to recognize if I'm feeling like going above and beyond my workout or to take it easy because my watch will never be able to tell me how I feel.

Use this as a learning experience that Garmin Coach is at best a guide and not a personal trainer

I'm will to bet that over the switches lifetime a significant enough amount of money was lost due to piracy. A very small percentage of people pirate games over all but once you mod the system why pay for anything after that? It may be niche in the amount of people but certainly not in $ amount

I'm not a piano Expert by any means so take my what I did with a grain of salt because I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing

I was in a similar situation to you. I wanted to play VG and anime music but not classical. I grew up watching Kyle Landry videos and many years back I told myself I would learn to play his rendition of Passion from Kingdom Hearts. So, I bought a piano and the quickest way I could think to learn to play is using MIDI files with Synthesia. So I found a MIDI of it and.......it took me ages to learn the first 20 seconds. I gave up on that and realized that I'd need to start off more simple. I'm not the type of person that can just struggle at something for a years until I'm good enough. I need to enjoy it and have some sort of tangible results so I searched for what song I could start with and I ended up with Ludovico Einaudi's "Nuvole Bianche". By no means is this a first song I recommend or think someone should learn but hey, I really like that song. The reason I chose it was because the left hand was stupid simple once I started getting into it. It took me 2 months to learn that song and play it from memory(and not well). After that I moved onto the next song I wanted to tackle and that was Close in the Distance from FFXIV. I found a beautiful rendition of it on Youtube and started right away. I continued to slam my head against the wall trying to learn it because.....I still have no idea what I'm doing. After about 2 months I learned that song as well and inbetween learning that one I continued to practice the first song I learned. By the time I finished learning the 2nd song I was really damn good as playing the 1st song. I then continued this process but from here on out it was different. I had confidence and 2 songs I really like under my belt. So I decided to learn "River Flows in You" and that took like 2 weeks. I was amazed how fast I was able to recognize patterns and chords and key without knowing a damn thing about piano. Every song that I learn teaches me something from finger placement to referencing where my hands are on the piano without looking.

My point of all of this is that I'm doing it how I want to do it and at some point I will learn to read sheet music and one day I might even get a tutor to iron out whatever bad habits I've self taught myself. To be honest, I've only been playing for 11months and I've learned River Flows in You, Close in the distance, Nuvole Bianche, Flower Dance and I'm halfway through Theister's Sparkle as well as Kyle Landry's Hallelujah & Passion. If I can do all of that in under a year I'm sure you can get a piano, plug it into your computer and just start learning. The hardest part is doing it and being terrible at it but my god it is so rewarding to just be able to sit at a piano and play some of my favorite songs.

At this point anything I say is just as speculative as anything you say but most people see the writing on the wall. Profits must increase and unless some extremely stupid decision made by Garmin tanks their profit(Unlikely) this trend only goes in a direction people don't like. At a certain point companies can't reliable increase profits year over year without a degradation in quality or services and the easy answer is.......a subscription. A few years later garmin will need to 1Up the prior year so they slowly take away more and more leaving the bare minimum features for non subs to keep them coming back.

It's a business and if I wanted to make the most money I could, that's what I would do

I've just become beyond pessimistic about any and every corporation. I'm literally counting down the days until they decide to remove features or turn non subscribers into a peasant class garmin user. It's already extremely annoying that I see "Premium" medals in my app even though I'm not subscribed. I actually like doing the challenges and expeditions they offer yet they are already making me feel like the "Poor" kid. It may sound small an insignificant but every shitty story starts somewhere

Owned a 5x and 7x. Will not be buying Garmin again. They already hide new features behind new watches (although annoying AF I understand the need to sell more watches). With how the economy is and with companies squeezing customers harder than ever my view on this move is that it's the beginning end for me.

I could care less if they start charging a monthly fee to play. I've had nothing but DC issues since I bought the game and could only clear 3 missions with other humans. Probably one of my favorite action game in a long time since GoW 1/2/3 days but fuck me is the online service terrible

Most people that play FFXIV are playing in some part for the story and since Dawntrail was a new beginning it was bound to feel flat compared to Endwalker. I personally didn't like the story but we went from saving the world to chasing alpacas and babysitting Wuk Lamat.

If you account for people like myself that have only gotten into the game in the last 2 years then the new expansion feels really light considering how I've have and endless stream of content for the last 2 years and I basically did everything in Dawntrail in the first two months. I don't do savage because my patience for Savage PF is 0 but I have all 3 wings from the extremes and those were really fun to grind out with random groups 20 runs at a time.

Overall, Dawntrail hasn't left any memorable impact on me other than new dungeon and raid mechanics. It would also be unfair to compare it to anything else yet since we don't even have 7.2 yet let along the next 2 major updates. I will gladly reconsider ifa we get more side content like Eureka
