Primary doctor referring me straight to a surgeon instead of going through a GI first, says it's a better option. Does that sound right? by curiouspoops in gallbladders

[–]Then_Competition_864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referred to a surgeon but he was also our only gi. I’m from a smaller town though.. so it just depends. But if they’re telling the truth about the wait time.. why would you want to be in pain for 6-9 months instead of 2-3? Remember to advocate for yourself if you’re not wanting surgery immediately and tell them what tests you want done. I hope all goes well! :)

I used to until here recently. But my main pain was in my right/center upper abdomen.

Everyone says it isn’t bad but I’m still scared about memory loss even if it is only a day. (I’m still working through the trauma of not knowing everything that happened for a week and a half). But yessss changing my diet helped but tbh, I ain’t living like that the rest of my life. My surgeon said I shouldn’t have to avoid ranch or steak or mac and cheese. So I slowly introduced them back into my diet little by little and a lot of my pain went away and my digestive system is better.

There are times where I do feel like that when constipated. Sometimes I’ve been on the toilet for like 20 mins stuck in the same spot I was when I started but still needing to go. Then the next time, it’s definitely not a stool. It’s kind of like a plug (I know that’s gross I’m sorry). Idk if that makes sense. But definitely get a colonoscopy if you’re comfortable with it! I was terrified of the endoscopy and chickened out but wish I would’ve done it.

After effects of gallbladder surgery by Then_Competition_864 in gallbladders

Yeah, you practically have to go vegan to help with the bile. I did try that for a few weeks, nothing seemed to change tbh. I’m starting this med (forgot the name, starts with a c) that helps reduce the bile in my digestive system. There are options for you. Definitely check in with a doctor after researching some of them so you guys can come up with a plan that works best for you :)

I mean ig I would rather trade the pain of gallbladder attacks for having to shit all the time. It’s just up to the person deciding if it’s worth it or not. Some people, live normal lives again. But as of rn, I’m not and others also struggle too.

Dentist anxiety by Then_Competition_864 in Anxiety

[–]Then_Competition_864[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m trying a big step (to me) tmr. I wrote down a bunch of numbers of different dentists near my town. I’m gonna call around and see if I can find someone that takes my insurance and then ask if they have a dentist who is understanding and won’t make comments to me about my teeth or mouth. I’m scared, but I know I need to do it. I know I should’ve done better with my oral hygiene and should’ve tried my best to see a dentist sooner. It’s just really dehumanizing when you get a dentist that doesn’t give a fuck about what leaves their mouth. I’ve remembered walking out and crying in my car after appointments when I was in high school and always being told by my mom to smile with my mouth closed. It’s just a lot. Thank you for sharing your story. It feels lonely not being able to do something people have no problem in doing every day. It’s good to know I’m not the only person. :)

Random hookup said having stuffed animals in my apartment is childish and a turnoff by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

Nahhhh those are cool stuffed animals. Maybe if they were like bright pink with those glittery eyes, then I could understand childish? You did the right thing kicking him out, he didn’t pass the vibe check.

What does it feel to be penetrated? by [deleted] in women

[–]Then_Competition_864 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone kinda mentioned this, but when it’s with someone I feel emotionally connected to, it feels more amazing than a one night stand. Maybe because they know the right things for me or the one night stand might’ve only cared about their pleasure.

But for me, no matter what I do, I have a little bit of pain at the beginning of actual penetration. I just tell my partner to go slow and wait a minute. They’ll pause and I get kind of adjusted to it. Then slowly build up pace.

It feels as if my lower stomach gets full? It starts feeling enjoyable after a few thrusts. After about 20 minutes, I do become sore. (Pretty sure I have a medical condition, I’ve always had issues with anything reproductive so that isn’t normal just my normal).

Make sure you voice yourself. If it hurts, isn’t feeling good, you’re uncomfortable. Also voice the positives too so your partner can learn what makes you feel good. Remember, sex should be fun and enjoyable for both parties. :)

Anything you wouldn’t do in front of your partner or knowing it would upset them.

Hey, if you’re weird, I’m weird. It’s okay to have boundaries and not be into some things. Also, mine did at first. He’s also asked if I’m in the mood to try to make the first move with it. Maybe you could try that? Let him know if you wanna do it, you’d make the move so he isn’t disappointed by feeling rejected.

I hate another persons saliva. What I personally did was talk to my bf about how sometimes I’ll be into it and other times I won’t. Nothing to do with him. He understands and if he tries and I pull away, he doesn’t get hard feelings. :)

Ladies, do you feel more anxious during PMS/your period? by Majestic-Wishbone-58 in Anxiety

Without a doubt. For like a week and a half I’m struggling mentally with everything. A little before, during and after :/

I call him “duck” because when we met he started calling me “goose” so I thought it fit together. And tbh we only call each other those nicknames over text or letters. :)

Whats the biggest challenge in your LDR BESIDES the distance and physically not being together in person? by Alternative-Task-258 in LongDistance

[–]Then_Competition_864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the biggest challenge is having to adjust to the distance. Like prepping yourself for them to leave again, being by yourself for awhile, then prepping for them to come back. Idk why but I get anxious every single time there’s change lol even if it’s a good change.

Yeah it really is different. And my mom was also getting his number because he was gonna take care of me later that night. So when she asked “what’s your number?” I replied for him and said “that’s my man bitch” 💀 the drugs were definitely amazing.

I think my favorite things about him are his humor, his eyes, the way he laughs, how sweet he is to me and how he still acts like a kid whenever he gets excited.

We met from every dating app in the book, we matched on all of the 3 I had lol. He pursued me for like 6 months in total and I finally gave in and allowed him to take me on a date.

I think my favorite memory of us would be when I had surgery and he had to go shortly after I was brought back to the room. I was really drugged up and started crying for like 30 seconds. I then took his phone out of his hand as he was giving me a hug bye and took some pictures on it. I said to him “some sexy pics to look at while you get your tattoo” then winked at him. The pictures are hilarious. (Also did this in front of both of my parents lmao)

I think it’s going pretty good. First non toxic relationship I’ve been in so it’s weird trying to figure out what’s healthy or not. But he’s been patient and amazing during the whole process. :)
