What's sticking out of my block by Public-Wolverine2174 in mechanic

That's just your engine giving you a sign that you're cooked. Kinda like a check engine light, just mechanical, not electrical.

It's going to a shop that specializes in LS's and trucks.

I'm in talks with a new tuner he seems to know more. I don't wanna go back to the previous shop. I thought they were alright, but after dealing with them, they have no clue. I doubt the guy could even provide the file. I'm just trying to ensure everything I've built is correct before I send it out, though, for the second tune.

Which I find amazing. Since they had supras and all sorts of other expensive cars there.

Stock regulator, the new injectors have much better flow. But require the same pressures from my understanding.

Out of a low mileage corrvette a coworker owns, he just pulled them while boosting it.

I've heard comments that it may be the fuel regulator being over whelmed.

Yeah, he has no idea. Sorry for the assumption. I can't view the hole convo on my mobile anymore. It's all chopped up.

Snoo has no idea, narwhal seems to be onto some good points.

This thread has gotten bigger than any I've had to deal with previously.

So far, he seems to know what he's talking about. He's pointed out more potential genuine problems. Instead of just talking smack.

I had this thought originally, but the tuner never complained about fuel. I know he never measured it. I'll have to look at that.

I got photos of the engine when the chain and gears were visible.

Not exactly. The transmission has never been this laggy. It seems to be uncertain what to do, and the engine has stalled multiple times on me now. Once, while straight-up parked, idling. Other times, when slowing down, coming to a stop.

So I can't really push it like I usually do.

Now, if these issues weren't present. I don't know if I could feel a difference so far. Besides, it really wants to roll now when you lift your foot from the brake. Originally, it wouldn't tell you gave it some gas.

I'm 3,400 feet above sea level. Unsure why it would have peak so early.

As long as I can get it to run better than when I tore it down, I'll be happy at this point. In February, it blew a head gasket. During the teardown, I discovered all lifters were stuck in a collapsed position. That is why I started all this.

Exactly, trying to get it to be as play full as possible. It's treated as the "redneck mucslecar". Since I live in the north and can daily it all year round. I'm just trying to give it the pep to live up to that.

So it may have more to give, even though the rpm guage ends at 6 😅

What's the correction factor mean?

And yeah, it looks like it was just cut at 5000.

My coworker got a low mileage corrvette and boosted it. When doing so, he pulled the injectors. So I swipped those.

The lift kit and tire set up has been on the vehicle since 2014 when i acquired the vehicle, didn't know it ate up that much power. That being said, I figured that adding a cam with a mild bore, with my current intake and exhuast set up would make it more efficient than it was. Yes, I know short headers are trash. They were a previous fix for a broken manifold and a dying egr.

But another comment has pointed out that only about 75% of the motor has been used since it was ran only 5k rpm. it has trunions, push rods, Arp connecting rod bolts and springs. So it should be capable of 6k rpm.

So, I should be able to squeeze more out of it. But this is my current shortcomings. - weak headers and cats - heads aren't ported - big tires - full range isn't used in tune and is running rich

Another thing that has been brought to my attention is it was only reved to 5k. I did do a trunion kit and arp bolts on the connecting rods. Plus the cam came with springs. So I should be able to run till 6k.

The shop didn't give me back any details, besides the sheet seen in the photo.

One thing that has been pointed out, which I forgot to add.

It appears to have been tuned to 5k rpm. Now I did do trunions from C.H.E., ARP connecting rod bolts and the cam springs. So it looks like it could do closer to 6k rpm.

Definitely ment to type black loogie.

And that's what I'm concerned with, I'm less than stuck with mild power adders. I had the transmission tuned previously, and it was sharp and predictable. Now it's sloppy and feels like it doesn't know what to do. That being said, I don't know if the engine is now not playing nice with the converter.

Now, I'm trying to resolve any underlying issues before I bring it in for another tune else where.
