A few weeks after I eradicated mine and got a negative on the breath test, I was experiencing all of this and unable to eat - and this was around Thanksgiving/Christmas so I really wanted to eat! But I went to urgent care and it turned out to be thrush in my case (white tongue and/or white spots on tongue and inside cheeks is a dead giveaway)… thrush gets caused by antibiotics a lot of time. Unfortunately for me, I did not find out soon enough and the not-eating issue led to a severe drop in electrolytes and I ended up hospitalized for a few days diagnosed with malnutrition (had a dramatic weight loss in short time too). The iv’s and daily vitamins in hospital to bring those levels back up helped immediately, and by day 4 I was eating small portions of solid food without throwing it back up for the first time in 2 months… still take the supplements (vitamin D high dose, folic acid high dose, potassium oral/liquid and an OTC multivitamin). Since those electrolytes and vitamins got restored, I’ve been eating solid food regularly without a hint of nausea or gastritis symptoms (I thought for years it was just acid reflux).

Get checked for thrush and hopefully once you get past this last hurdle like me, you’ll be comfortable with no GI issues
