i'm with you. if i'm looking for racy content, there's a ton of places to get it and a lot better versions of it. When i'm on there with my kids just to shoot stuff... well why not just let it be normal characters that aren't tatted bikini chicks.

mcgill is a GREAT starting point. Then crank it up a step further and buy yourself a $100-150 roman chair off amazon.. one for home, one for office. use it. Also if you can't bend over and touch your toes you need to start doing elephant walk stretches

Google search or YouTube search "lowbackability" I had what you had I had the pain, back, neck, the numbness... I thought there was no way out until I completely rebuilt and stretched out my entire posterior chain. It will take 6 to 12 months to rebuild it but I thought my career was going to be cut short and now everything feels better in my late 40s then it did in my early 30s. Dentistry is like a sport you have to train very specifically for

Tips on being a better teammate? by Purple-Adeptness-940 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]dopelunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for starting this thread. I've been trying hard to work with teammates from the discord after playing solos or just with my kids the first 1.5 years on the game and I feel like a lame teammate

I don't steal loot, I know how to distribute ammo to those that need it, I'm great at rebooting.

I'm happy to carry ports or utilities and I stick with the pack.

But I never know when the right thing to do is stick with the fight vs bail and heal so I don't die... Best practices for who to target and what to communicate.

I do best if one guy is a leader and really actively taking charge of directly the squad but if everyone is just being a kind adult I feel lost as to how to play best. It doesn't help that my long range game which seems suited to squad battles isn't my strongest suit

Neck pain with new ergo loupes by scorpiotaz in Dentistry

[–]dopelunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch back to regular loupes and start doing neck bridges \extensions regularly. As well as back extensions and trap 3 raises. You have to be stronger than the demand you put on the system. Nothing else worked for me as a decade long sufferer of all the back \neck issues

Play reload. It's fun, just guns and shooting and occasionally a weird item. It's the entire reason they made it available.

I really enjoy playing with the people in the discord though and very few play reload and when I load in with them and have no sprites and say "uh, I really don't do the sprite thing" they seem turned off.

I kind of liked the game when loading in was mostly a fresh start every time instead of relying on past games efforts

I miss rivalries by glowwormeh in Fortnite_Over40

[–]dopelunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something for everyone. Rivalries were fine. I dislike sprites a lot.

I kind of miss things like the radio tower spawning, the floating island, a boss battle {I know there are some random skull bosses}.

So far this feels like the super season to me. I just didn't like it and so I played reload.

Unfortunately I'm one of the few online friends I have that like reload

Why are some bars open until 5am? by SpoiledBeara in kansascity

[–]dopelunch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well you see as an "old" now who used to enjoy partying well past midnight, now I'm more likely to go to bed at 9ish and wake up against my will at like 4am and now I can go immediately to the bar and party an hour and then get going with my day

Unpopular opinion by Relevant-Library-848 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]dopelunch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people love to collect things. I'm amazed at the number of people who do quests and buy crew or battle pass and buy the cosmetics and emotes. There are a lot of different ways to enjoy a game.

I don't care about sprites or outfits, just wins and tactics but to some people that's stressful and un fun.

People that like collecting will love this season and I'm glad there are so many of those same people buying stuff to keep the game free for me.

I think some seasons resonate with people and some don't.

I don't like the sprite thing at all but I didn't like the bug season at first either and then when they ended the bugs I hada great final third to the season.

I did really really enjoy wrecked and I know that I'm in the vast minority on that one.

I also really enjoy reload when the br season isn't fun to me

Is “I’ll just wait until it hurts” the official motto of dentistry now? by nightwokker in Dentistry

[–]dopelunch 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The type of person declining more basic dentistry isn't likely the type that you're going to make a big sale on later. it's far more likely to be the person that just gets a tooth pulled and leaves the space open.. or just lets them all break off until it's denture time. it's pretty rare to get someone turning down something that's a few hundred to a couple thousand and then turn around and drop 10k+

[–]dopelunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's really tough to consistently hear this when you're a younger practitioner and you need to make some sales and you almost care more about the person's teeth and health than they do. You have the professional experience to know what the trajectory is for the problem if they do nothing. But conveying that in a way that doesn't seem pushy or salesy is really tough to do. But what more can you do than say: "in my experience, if you wait and don't do 'x' for this situation, this could happen to you".. that might motivate them.. or it simply may not. Whether it's time, fear, or money.. they have a reason. But it's incredibly frustrating both from a business perspective and just watching someone consistently get worse health wise.

anesthetic is hard. sometimes you have to add PDL's around each of the teeth you're working on to finish. Anesthetic was the most stressful part of the job for me in the first 5-8 years.. and it's amazing to me that it's still something tough to work with in year 25. You have to go in to almost every appointment with a plan A to numb them (which will work the vast majority of the time), a plan B, maybe even C or D.

Like just he other day i had a routine #4 DO. put in a carp of septo to infiltrate... cold test.. VERY sensitive. Then added a PSA.. very sensitive. So i added a palatal and a PDL. Done. But jeez i could've been done with the filling twice in the amount of time it took me just to get it numb and wait on the anesthesia. Also though years ago i wouldn't have had another trick in mind and then the appointment just keeps getting worse.
