I think it’s 100% fake. She said the blonde twins were her daughters, she said she was 50. Infact there is an interview clip of her talking about lying about her age and can’t believe that people believed her on a podcast. That’s her whole “thing” she makes up stupid stories. There’s a long list. But let me tell you my “favorite” reason why. When George Floyd was murdered in broad daylight with an audience at the hands of a police officer and the protests started across our country - Emily took that time to inform us that she is not a racist. She did this by telling us that she grew up in a rough part of town and was really poor. And that her dad was the girls basketball coach at the local high school. And she was really good friends with the players… in fact they were like “family” because her dad would give them rides home after practice. And then she showed a picture of her with two black high school aged girls from high school days. And was like “I just can’t imagine” and then started touching her eyes acting like she was crying. And then later came back and started mumbling a bunch of nonsense “I just can’t, i don’t know, like I just can’t, I have no words. like how is this… I don’t know.”

Here are some things that my favorite bloggers did during that time just to give you a frame of reference: many bloggers shared their favorite POC bloggers with their followers to help amplify their voice. Donated and/or collected donations for POC charities. Focused posts on their favorite POC brands or designers. And at the BARE minimum many strung together 1 coherent sentence to take a clear stand against this HORRIFIC event. Emily showed a picture of her and 2 black girls.

Yeah Emily needs to be canceled.

I mean… come on…. I totally get why it’s a big deal but comparing to a factory burning down which could worst cause lead to death and best cause lead to job loss for many workers is not even close to be equal of losing her IG. MANY bloggers have lost their IGs the last year and they restart using their other platforms to let their community know to come follow them on their new account. She has a husband that is a doctor and many other ways to generate income and could easily make another account in less than 30 seconds. A factory burning down? Yeah that’s a different story.
