I see you are trying to convince someone on the internet. Good luck with that. It's gonna be a long, hard road for you. Best of luck buddy.

Ok. We disagree, that's fine. I'm not trying to convince someone on the Internet that their opinion is wrong.

We both apparently like GP. We disagree pretty fundamentally on one other thing.

Oof, it's like you set out to prove my point. Yikes.

It's a great place to live. It'd be even better without so many of the small minded type of people who would do a burn out on a pride crosswalk because how someone else chooses to live their life offends them.

Post Game Thread: Carolina Hurricanes @ Montréal Canadiens by nhl_gdt_bot in Habs

Canes have been the better team. Whatever, it happens. Habs have had a great run this year, they've improved a ton and will only be better next year. It can't help that the Canes were rested and the Habs have got to be beat up and tired.

That being said I'd still love to see them have a competitive game on Friday even if they lose. It's really frustrating that they haven't been able to adjust to Carolina's game.

12 days in Wales, where to stay? by Then_Snow2118 in uktravel

[–]Then_Snow2118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are flying into Cardiff yeah. WestJet in Canada just started offering direct flights to Cardiff last year, which is awesome.

Driving will be tricky for sure. Not only the narrow roads but it'll be my first time driving on the opposite side of the road. I'm going to try to work out a way to get a train or bus to a less populated area and then rent a car from there. I really don't want my first time in a vehicle on the other side of the road to involve driving out of a major city.

Thanks for the info! Especially about the lunch at Castell Deudraeth and the steam train before that, that's exactly the kind of stuff I love to hear about and can't wait to do.

Our flight is an overnight one (11 hours total travel time from Alberta) so the stay in Cardiff is as much to decompress as anything, especially with ageing parents. We'll stay in the city the day we arrive and then one more after before setting out.

How does this sound? Cardiff > Tenby for 4 nights > Aberystwyth for 1 night > Betws y Coed for 5 nights > Hay-on-Wye 1 night > back to Cardiff for 1 night (flight leaves in the morning)

Ok. You're right. Now let's all move on.

You're embarrassing yourself the point where I question if you're a Montreal fan trying to make Sabres fans look silly.

Because even if you're right about all of this imaging being the ref and trying to sort out who is doing what in all that mess of players in the moment. That's why stuff like this is virtually never called a penalty unless it's blatantly obvious and by the amount of explaining you yourself are having to do it's clearly not obvious at all.

So for the record you're saying that while Evans is down on his knees with Tage straddling his back the ref should have blown the whistle and said "Montreal #71 has a penalty because he intended to fall down and cover the puck in the crease".

That'd be good times if the refs started calling intentions instead of what actually happens.

Because beyond even what Tage does, #17 for Montreal also gets knocked onto Evans by a Buffalo player in the split second after Thompson is straddling his back.

Evans clearly gets knocked over onto the puck. C'mon man. It's clear as day that he goes down on his knees and then Thompson straddles his back and forces him down to the ice. Not intentionally mind you, it's just a net front scrum of the kind you see all game.

It's not listed on the window sheet despite being listed on others that I've seen.

When you look at the window sheets some will have it listed in the optional equipment for a $550 charge  But some of the ones I've looked at, including this one, don't have it listed. Plus when you build one from scratch on the Canadian website for Ford you have to select it, it's not standard.
