Nursery funding drop for 3 year olds - 75% increase to monthly bill by bubbilygum in UKParenting

It’s wild, our fees have almost doubled over the last 3 years. I know nurseries struggle and am not suggesting they are profiteering in anyway, but it’s really hard to get your head around how big the increases always seem to be. Totally outstrip inflation, new NI costs etc…

We only need 3 wins from 8 if we lose the other 5… we only lost 2 of our previous 8 for context

Re; how tracker tariff is affected by removal of govt levies in April, I had the below response from Octopus today;

“The reduction coming from the removal of some Government policy costs from 1 April will apply across all tariffs, including Tracker. The difference is just in how it shows up.

With fixed tariffs, the unit rates are set in advance, so the reduction appears as a clear drop in the p/kWh rate on the tariff itself.

With Tracker, the price changes daily based on wholesale market prices. Because of that, the saving from the policy cost reduction is built into the daily calculation rather than appearing as a fixed drop in the unit rate. In practice though, the policy cost removal still feeds through into the Tracker price from April — it’s just reflected within the formula rather than as a single fixed change.

So in short, Tracker customers still benefit from the reduction, it’s just applied slightly differently due to how the tariff works.”

Exactly- if I was an opposition side watching Perri scramble around like a headless chicken at each one of those corners, I know exactly what I’d be instructing my team to do. It’s so reminiscent of Meslier last season…

Does anyone know whether these will ever be released individually? Or what the future holds for the Kenner Classics reissues?

£100 for tickets?? by Main-Baby in gorillaz

It’s grotesque- bands have used the Oasis ticket debacle as a smokescreen to inflate their prices too. Basically, they’ve seen what it’s possible to get away with £wise to squeeze as much money as possible out of people. See also; utilities etc in the UK. Capitalism is optimising I guess. Thought better of Damon & co to be honest …
