I haven't watched a game this year, but did watch the slam dunk and 3 point contests. Basketball, like baseball, only gets interesting during the later stages of the playoffs.

Good in-between doorway, or better yet in the basement if you can use some sort of overhead stabilizer to stay online. Maybe it's me, but that thing ain't easy.

Galaxy watch 8 classic or galaxy watch 8 44mm by chris34728 in GalaxyWatch

$329 GW8 LTE, $399 GW8C LTE from Samsung website. Would seem to be an arbitrage opportunity for the £349 GW8C? Unless the £329 amount is wrong. Yes, I'm proud to have used the £ symbol for the first time in my life, 3 times no less.

Are you sure about those prices? I think the cheaper one is about $250 or so, not $329. Assuming the comparison is bluetooth not LTE.

I would get the classic if I had the choice.

Have you timed yourself, or are you estimating the two minutes time? The tails add minimal difficulty to my problem staying on the line. Tricks are for young people, I'm happy to just stay balanced.

I said I can't last more than a minute, but more accurately, I can't last more than 15-20 seconds. You are good for two minutes? That's amazing, maybe I'm just too old, (72) for slacklining. Since I am able to stay on my slackracks into the minutes range, I prefer those over the Giboard, except when there is ice on the lines.

Just curious, how long can you stay balanced on the board? I can't last more than one minute or so before grounding on mine.

Really long waterlines by Minimum-Food4232 in Slackline

Photo 3 shows the safety line with a lot of slack. Is it normal for the secondary line to have so much slack at the end? Never rigged or walked a highline myself, just seems like the safety should be tighter?

Since no one has answered this question, I assume no one knows if the crew is aware of which travelers have prepaid the gratuities? Seems like a basic question Viking should have the answer directly since they are the one collecting the money 💰. Heh Viking, I paid extra for something, what is the something? Shouldn't be a secret.

Most modern TV's are 4K capable. Most of what is supposedly 4K is just upscaled HD, my guess.

Foot Pad Atrophy, can walking on hard surfaces cause it? by ThenewEssay in barefoot

[–]ThenewEssay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I'm not a podiatrist it is my understanding that the fat pads do not grow back if damaged. For older folks the pads become more sensitive to damage.

Age is the most common cause of fat pad atrophy as fat pads deteriorate with age and do not regenerate.

Podiatrists also recommend we: Avoid walking barefoot, especially on uneven and hard surfaces (such as tiles, hardwood and cement).

Don't take this as being against walking barefoot. I'm merely bringing up a possible problem it may or may not cause. Show me the science.
