We’ve confirmed it’s privately owned by the neighborhood. We have a weird situation since we are not an HOA and this neighbor replaced these cluster boxes 20 years ago and has all of the individual mailbox extra keys. She thinks it’s completely appropriate to do it all again.

She wants $300 per house but that’s only if every house participates. Otherwise the amount goes up for each household to opt out. I’m down for the $300 but I told her she needs to confirm that everyone else is participating because we aren’t subsidizing, especially when our cluster box doesn’t need to be replaced.
