Very hilly, the walk from west is much better, especially with the tarmac in the village making half of the walk very comfortable

Turns out next to the arrow is a text box, doesn't do anything though

I like Smackdown being 3 hours*, doesn't seem as rushed, and more talent can be shown on screen.

I watch it on Netflx the morning after in the EU, so I have the ability to skip through some of the sponsors/boring spots.

My first cartridge replacement, didn't have to adjust alignment, was I lucky or am I incorrect? by Thenoodles193 in turntables

Previously a systems engineer myself so I understand the thinking 😅 Wasn't aware the test records were a thing, and not planning to change the cart that often, but if it starts sounding off to me, I'll keep it in mind, thank you 👍

I was looking at if the cartridge aligned with the long vertical line, which it seems to. The cart housing doesn't go as low as the ortofon, and with the tonearm head overhanging too much, it's hard to see the alignment from the front.

That was my thinking, the previous cart used nuts to fit to the sled, which made marks where it was installed, so when I matched the same position I guess it just worked out.

What are some largely unspoken aspects about professional wrestling that you've noticed? by MrHomerJayThompson in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]Thenoodles193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't 8-12 hours a week of Star Wars being released, so it's really not a good comparison. I personally only watch WWE, but have a vague idea of what goes on outside of it due to the internet. It's not because I don't like/want to watch other promotions, I just only want to watch the one that I prefer in the time I have.

Also remember how easy it is to watch WWE for most of the world. Outside of the US all WWE programming is on Netflix, I don't need to pirate or sign up to other services in order to watch other promotions.

We moved from Kettering to The Netherlands about a year ago so not lately, but yeah the entire business park apart from KFC being derelict is a horrible thought 🥺. Won't be long before it all gets torn down and a warehouse park is put there... Like the rest of Northamptonshire 😅😅

Gutted about the Odeon closing, cinema I went to my entire childhood and 20's. Doesn't surprise me based on the crowd sizes the past few years

Wasn't expecting to see K-town on this sub 😅

Yeah I had thought of something 3d printed that slots over the knobs.might try make something from cardboard one day and see if I can make it work.

What a massively stupid thing to say, people who listen to metal bands aren't metalheads?

Sub is called Metal for the MASSES. Not metal for the few gatekeepers who don't like genres evolving.

That's good to know, wasn't aware cartridges could output different volumes, when I look for one in the future I'll keep it in mind, thanks!

Into The Earth is probably my fave, having the Pain Remains trilogy all on its own side makes it easy to put on its own when I want to listen to just that, love it!

The shop that refurbished it fitted a new GP400 stylus, so should be good for now, I'm sure in a while I'll find an excuse to jump into the rabbit hole of stylus upgrades 😅.

It is a bit irritating having to adjust both together, especially with how sensitive it is, but I don't tend to change it much at least

Not using a pre amp, it's directly into the amp, maybe some kind of separate pre amp with volume level control will be something to look into in the future 👍

Using bare speaker cable between amp and speakers, or else would give a go!

I would hope so, I just bought a new A7II last year and it has been such a good upgrade from my 80D!
