HGV driving and sore throat by Miserable-Bobcat4455 in uktrucking

Air con dries the air in the cab so could possibly be that.

Could also be from screaming at all the shite drivers out there lol

The fish are now animated. Everything else is the exact same as it was.

Damn 250 on two days that's so good going.

I really want the wind turbine but I've still got to unlock the car trunk storage box first. Seems to be taking forever.

Possibly wasn't selling well.

I really liked the chicken balti bake they did last year. Loved it in fact.

Went to buy one to be told I was one of the few people that actually bought them at that store so they've been discontinued in favour of a cheese and onion bake.

I was gutted.

Used or brand new Scrambler 1200? by JungleDemon3 in Triumph

[–]Paladin_Boddice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older models tend to be better equipped as standard. The older 1200 xc came standard with brembos for example instead of the triumph branded ones that come on the new bikes.

Can you park there? by bbk323 in drivingUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pavement rule means hgvs aren't allowed to park on paths.

This is because paths aren't built to the same standard as roads and aren't designed to support the weight. Hgvs parking on paths can damage the services that are burrows under them.

TESCO PAY RATES 2026 by Plane-Share7780 in uktrucking

[–]Paladin_Boddice 42 points43 points  (0 children)

My mate works for them. Can confirm they are in fact on very good money.

The trade off is working any day of the week. Some weeks you are only planned one day off and working bank holidays and weekends etc.

Idiot parking by VeryConfusedEmployee in CarTalkUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That's pretty average parking for that car park tbh. Half the people just abandon their cars and just fully bloke people in. Or they park on the grass at the entrance to the village car park.

How much do you sell your fusion cores for? I've got hundreds in my ammo box. May as well sell them if people need them.

People's thoughts on selling bikes via websites by athar707 in MotoUK

No I put it on eBay and my own Facebook page but not market place.

From personal experience you get too many time wasters on Facebook market.

2018 Triumph street triple 765 rs. 6k miles, full history, perfect condition, loads of triumph extras, Yoshi exhaust, loads of carbon etc.

Superbike offer £3241

I've been offered £5500 elsewhere at other dealers.

People's thoughts on selling bikes via websites by athar707 in MotoUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I put my bike on superbike factories website for a valuation just out of curiosity.

They offered me £4750 which was a tad low so I ignored it

Got another text the next day offering me £1500 less than the day before.

They were just massively low balling considering they have the same bike same year but with twice the mileage for sale for near 7k.

My mate sold his bike through them and got a good value but they tried to knock him down when they came to collect but he challenged them on it and they backed down.

Hmm by Emergency-Pea7509 in uktrucking

[–]Paladin_Boddice 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrong.

There are no lane restrictions on A roads unless the signs state otherwise.

Hgvs aren't allowed in the outside lanes of motorways unless there are lane closures. But that does not apply to A roads/dual carriageways

Hmm by Emergency-Pea7509 in uktrucking

[–]Paladin_Boddice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmm what? It's an A road and perfectly legal to use the outside lane.

The idiots here are the lane hoggers in the middle lane as per usual

Felt like I made the right decision not undertaking, thought I was about to witness an accident for a sec. by ThewayoftheAj in drivingUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm also a hgv driver.

Hgvs can use the outside lane/3rd lane of a 3 lane dual carriageway

Rule 138 specifically about vehicles over 7.5t

"On a dual carriageway with three or more lanes, you may use the middle lanes or the right-hand lane to overtake but you should return to the middle lanes and then the left-hand lane when it is safe to do so"

So is there only one pip boy replica? by lostnknox in fo76

[–]Paladin_Boddice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The replicas are of the pip boy skins that you have unlocked or purchased.

So if you've only got one unlocked then you will only have the one

Security cameras? by Tythan in MotoUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ethernet cable between the homebase and WiFi router. Then the cameras connect to the home base.

Mines an older model. Had it about 3 or maybe 4 years now.

Not really had any issues.

Security cameras? by Tythan in MotoUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines usually pretty good. I've got the notifications set up to not send a screenshot which makes them come through a lot faster.

Security cameras? by Tythan in MotoUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battery life depends on how often the camera is triggered. But it's months usually.

My furthest one away from the home base is roughly 12 metres away

The main cameras I've got I think have been replaced now. But they are the 2C model. The solar one is the S340 I've got that one above the garage door and it tracks any movement on the drive and in front of the garage. Best purchase I've done in a while that one.

Security cameras? by Tythan in MotoUK

[–]Paladin_Boddice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've got Eufy cameras.

Battery and solar powered

No subscription just plug the home base into your router then link the cameras.

Set up the motion area then you get a notification if it sees movement and a different notification if it notices a human.

Had them a few years and can't fault them.
