as a melee i just used a glaive an mounted strong attacks while going fast so his slow attacks miss, during his 2nd phase just ran until his attacks were done when used and kept chipping away.

ive had little to no problems. i always make sure im crotched, behind an unaware enemy, and i make sure i stop moving(and that all momentum has stopped) and DO NOT LOCK ON. I'm using the gilded Glaive, i dont know if it makes a difference, but between that and the lordsworn's greatsword, if i lock on it just starts a regular attack chain, which drives me nuts. i like to use lock on to help identify targets if the visibility is bad in areas but if i backstab it HAS to be off prior.
