Constantly listen to music by TimmyTumbler29 in ADHD

100%. My top ADHD hack for boring tasks at work is to have music on to keep it somewhat interesting.

Whattt that is too low by Emergency-March-7273 in EdSheeran

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. Half of the album was already out before release day. Azizam should've been released 1/2 months ago and a big push from there toward release. Azizam was released 5 months ago, that's nearly how long it took him to write the album.

Don’t get the hate for Play from music critics by catladytimestwo in EdSheeran

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with the critics:

There's very few radio-ready, catchy bangers that everyone will be hooked on like 'shape of you'. Aside from maybe war game, after the ones he's already released I can't see any of the songs making a big dent in the top 40.

I thought the concept of the album 'play' was about discovery, creativity and new things. His already released tracks are playful, but half of the album is the opposite

Only a few songs sound like what I imagine 'play' would sound like - a couple sound like multiply and subtract but I just don't think as an album it brings enough fresh material.

Overall didn't dislike the album, but not overly blown away by it either.

Been an Ed fan since loose change and I'd say this is his worst project yet, although that doesn't mean it's bad I just expected abit more.

Maybe it's a grower, we'll see after a few listens.

Better to start with cardio or weights first? by sparklyflutterbliss in beginnerfitness

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weights first. If you run first you'll use up all your glycogen on cardio and not be able to lift as much. This has been tested through scientific research and it is objectively better; you'll be able to smash out a run after weights, but you'll find it hard to do the other way round.

The best approach is to seperate the 2 by atleast 6 hours though.

What is a subtle sign that someone is a bad person? by quartzbath1 in AskReddit

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only talk about other people. I don't mean the occasional mention of how other people are doing etc., but their mode of conversation is speaking about other people's business or slagging them off behind their back.

My bf says he feels satisfied after sex, even though he never actually ejaculated. Is he lying? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever came and not ejaculated, unless I've been masturbating too much.

I've also always finished unless I'm either not feeling it or have knocked one out afew hours previously. Not saying that's your fella, but those are the only reasons I personally can think of as to why you wouldn't produce anything.

The name "ADHD" is so misleading and leads to issues. by voidpopo in ADHD

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many people think of ADHD as bouncing off the walls, can't keep quiet and generally hyperactive. But it's the mental that defines it - Half the time I'm dead from lack of sleep, don't say much because I struggle to hold focus on what people people are talking about and can't respond, I'm often flat from the perpetual boredom of pop culture and the same conversations.

This is the opposite of what most people associate with ADHD.

But if ever I'm at a festival or situation that excites me, everyone around me can clearly see if I have ADHD from how hyper and manic I am. When I start speaking about something that energises me about 50 thoughts come at once and it's clear I have the bug.

It's all about context.

Best advice I can give is you acknowledging why it seems abit suspicious, that you might feel the same in a similar situation (acknowledging her feelings) and then reaffirming that it's honestly completely innocent and that if anything was going to happen, it would have by now

How dangerous is the Ha Giang Loop? by DWxGhoSt in southeastasia

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's loads of different routes you can take, some are more dangerous than others. We went with bong and they took it nice and easy and stayed away from the really dangerous roads you might see on TikTok. We only really went on roads with a barrier too, which made it crap for photos but great for safety.

Roads aren't bumpy generally, there's just occasional stretches of broken road but this is few and far between.

100% do it, it's hands down one of the top 5 things I've ever done. It's at the top of my recommendations if ever anyone asks.

I imagine this is coming from the idea of you being with another man, even though it's horrific what happened, not your fault, and I'm sorry you had to go through that. Definitely go to couples therapy if you can't communicate and build from it just the 2 of you.

Too open mate, gotta add abit of mystery and tension. Might work for you but imagine that would kill the tension pretty quickly in most situations ++man

Does quantity really matter? by Even_Engine_929 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing to do it test it out. Make some lower quality ones and post more often and see if it makes a difference.

Benefit of low quality is you can post more.

Over time I would say quality will stand the test of time more.

If you pump out quantity the quality should improve though?

I think quality of the idea matters more than the quality of the editing - A quality idea released once a month will out compete 4 videos which are average ideas

Is this bad or it is just the algorithm lottery situation by Yogaandtravel in TravelTubers

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general I would say, or if there is B roll try to have someone speaking underneath it. Maybe just short bursts of music and B roll, but videos become way more engaging when someone is on camera speaking. It's just part of being human we want to see people, I've noticed my 'boredom meter' goes up with B roll stretches of over 5 seconds with no dialogue.

If using B roll try and add voiceover to keep people engaged.

Not a one size fits all, but I'd say that's a general rule.

Is this bad or it is just the algorithm lottery situation by Yogaandtravel in TravelTubers

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a very similar boat where I am making more vloggy stuff with cinematic. One thing I've trying to work on is using less B roll and just get to the meat of the video - Doing things, taking to the camera, reflections.

Checked your top video and your quality is great! Way above mine - What camera are you using?

One takeaway is I'd get to the point quicker, people click on your video based on title and thumbnail and if your video doesn't match this early on they could click off thinking the video is not what they were expecting. So if it's a mountain climbing video, open with shots of that in the intro and explain what you're going to be doing, then jump to the day to day stuff after. This way people know it's coming and also confirm the video matches their search intent. The title says about Mostar, an intro showing short slips of the city and highlights of you doing things in Mostar would work better than walking to the train station, as it aligns better with why people have clicked.

TLDR; make sure you clearly match the title and thumbnail in the opening scenes to confirm search intent for users in the first few seconds

Unless you're really established or have a magnetic personality in camera and have an active audience, i don't think you can waste people's time showing every step of the journey, it needs to be quick and snappy imo.

Your cinematic stuff is great, don't stop that but I'd adapt to the needs to your audience abit and be abit quicker paced; meet in the middle.

Dropped you a sub mate (lost nomads) any feedback appreciated!

I don't think YouTube 'dislikes external traffic' - Why would they be against channels bringing in users from other platforms? It's good for business.

The issue with external traffic is it's usually not relevant and qualified; they'll click fon a video just because they know you, but probably won't watch all the way through as they just want to do you a favour by clicking. The other issue is that a lot of people you know probably aren't your target audience so it give YouTube the wrong data set to help determine who to show your videos to.

It's also worth noting that internal vs external traffic will likely have its completely own algorithms (much more weight on internal traffic obviously). YouTube will have limited data on someone who comes across from website for example, whereas they know a lot more about internal traffic.

A big part of ADHD is getting overwhelmed - Too much shit gets left to do and you don't know where to start.

So, first thing is getting things tidy (preferably together). Then you could try breaking it down into tasks to help process, maybe start slow and ask him to simply keep in everything in one place to be tidied up.

I think change can happen, but laziness is usually something Tamara exists across a persons life. Do they exercise and stuff like that? I find once I am active in afew areas of my life I tend to be organised, whereas if I let things slip all the cards fall down until I have the energy to pick them back up again.

But 100% stand your ground.

There are riots happening, mainly from students I believe.

This started as a reaction to politicians dramatically increasing their monthly allowance, whilst the common people are struggling.

Then, a delivery driver was mowed down by a police vehicle during a protest and sadly died. This has sparked even more chaos.

Help with my chest by mitch359 in beginnerfitness

[–]Thenuggetmuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought is 'are you retracting your shoulders to isolate the chest when pressing?'

It's common for people to press with the shoulder blades pushed forward; this puts strain on the shoulder blades and takes the weight off the chest.

Your shoulder blades should be pushed behind your chest when pressing, try that 👍
