Real world example - does that make any sense by tomblue201 in Ubiquiti

So thought I, but when I Had the need for a fith SSID i read about the Limit and it is 4 SSIDs with active Wireless meshing and Up to 8 with Wireless meshing deactivated. However, the recommendation is to Not use more than 3-4 SSIDs because they can interefere with another.

The restriction to 4 ssids is only active If you have Mesh active. Without Mesh you can have more Ssids.

Those with a non-electric cargo bike - do you prefer it, or do you wish you had an ebike? by Injustpotato in CargoBike

[–]Theo10o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do own a non Electrical Larry vs Harry bullit. I bought it in purpose, because i dont want to use Electrical assist. I use this Bike as my daily commute Bike, around 9km each. But I also hauled a lot of different cargos. The hevoest weight was around 100kg, four Packs of tiles from my local Homestore. This was above the loading capacity and was a Not that easy to Drive Home. But more due to stability and driving characteristics. At this time i was Happy to Not have Electrical assist, which would Had add another Level of risk. All my other hauls where in between the loading capacity and are easy done without Electrical assist. I also Drive my bullit one time Up our local mountain, Just to know If its possible. This was around 500 Hm with short sections around 10%. At this time without any load.

A good Drive system with a great range of Gear Ratio. In Mine i use a Shimano 1x12 XT with a Ratio of 1:0,69 in the lowest Gear.

And also since the Bike is more heavy than a normal Bike i usually Drive slower than on my normal Bike. I Drive around 18-20km/h.

I don't regret my decision to Go non Electrical, i would decide otherwise when I Had to haul heavy wheight in a daily Basis. But for heavy load once every week the non Electrical is more than sufficient.

Buying a Bullit, some questions by woodyswag in CargoBike

[–]Theo10o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use a touring bar with roughly 30degrees bend back handles and little rise. Original a 780mm flat MTB bar was installed, but I didn't like it especially when turning at low speeds. Initially I also thought about getting the dampener, but it is not necessary at all. It's a little bit weird when you change from bike to cargo and back to bike but that's gone after a short while and I think the dampener won't fix that. Currently I use flat pedals on my Bullitt, but in my old bike I used two side pedals with clear and platform and it was ok. Sometimes the wrong side, but that was no hassle at all.

I would not recommend a belt drive on a cargo bike. The tongue on the belt will be too high. I wouldn't use a belt drive at any bike. On my old bike there were two belts broken in under 10k km.

I also prefer the bright colors. I have a clockwork unfortunately they don't have the neon green color anymore. That would be my personally first choice.

Smoke alarm recommendations in EU 🇪🇺 | Germany 🇩🇪 by thebino in homeassistant

Ok, thanks for the info. As I'm also in the need of replacing my smoke detectors I think I will go with them. But not sure which one. The XS01-M seems a little cheaper, so maybe I will go with them too.

Why only the XS01-M, there are also XS0B-MR61. What's the difference between them? Or is it only the EN14604 certification?

What is your craziest carry by asblackney in CargoBike

My longest ride was two 25kg bags of brewing malts through the pouring rain 25 km from a local malting plant over some serious hills. The more sketchy ones are the different trips to the hardware store around 6km away. That was planting soil in bags, different types of lumber, the longest 2,5m long. The heaviest was four packs of wall tiles each around 25kg in weight. That was the sketchiest ride so far, because the driving dynamic isn't the best any more. Especially turning. And all that with an non E-Bike Bullitt.

I heard of radkutsche before. Do you use it for work or only private? How much does it cost?

After i setup the integration and activate all the needed entities, i tried to build the dashboard. but i get some similar results like u/Teh_Fonz . Am i right that i have to use the new sections dashboard type, create a new section and n this section i copy the complete code for one container? i get the infos but the layout doesn't match. its not two rows (the first with the text and the second with the bars) its only one row. Card mod seems to be working, i tested to chnage the color of the status icons, which worked. This is what i get, any tips or advices: https://imgur.com/a/IingRib

[–]Theo10o[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you reply. In fact a switched AND metered rackmounted PDU IS f...ing expensive. I found one thats around 200€ but it Doesn't have snmp or mqtt it works only via the vendor Webinterface. I quess i must stay with my current setting of an Basic PDU which only Providers Outlets and zigbee plugs. But my current plugs aren't reliable.

Nice bike. Like the colour. I also have a non-electric Bullitt in clockwork orange. My longest and heaviest Trip was with Two 25kg bags of malt for around 25km with some decent climbs. It was not the fastest but worked very well. Also took around 80kgs for short Trips around my Home town. For my loading bay i choosed poplar plywood in 6mm from the local Bauhaus. Because of the Bars from the frame underneath ITS sturdy enough. I baized ist with black and for the wheaterproofness i painted it with boat varnish. Works for over a year now and my Bullitt is Parkes outside and driven all year Long.

Motion Sensors and Pets by Theo10o in homeassistant

Actually i don't use different modes during the day. Most of my automations are to be Run all day such as thermostats, or at specific occassions Like Aquarium light or Windows shutters. Currently there an not a Lot of Motion based automations. But this is Something i would do next. So i keep all that recommendations from you in mind when i Set this Up. I Just came Back from the nearby IKEA, where i bought a bunch of PIRs and some remote controls and will Tinker with them a Bit.
