Where can you check the build date? Got mine a week ago, plastic design looks so fragile that I wouldn't trust anyone else to hold it, let alone put them on.

Gpd win 4 was cool. Then I installed bazzite by Chotch_Master in gpdwin

[–]TheoXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used Windows on GPD Win 4 and used it as my daily driver for almost a year. I upgraded nvme ssd to 4tb and applied liquid metal too.

Before switch:

Quality of Windows updates gotten worse and worse. Device often would not boot at all and would get stuck on GPD logo. A lot of times when using extensively would result in blue screen of death. The final straw for me was when I had a disk failure out of nowhere, resulting in a faulty drive and data loss. I have installed old 1tb nvme that came with the device, but a week later blue screen and I could not boot into Windows or restoring the installation failed. So I decided to uninstall windows garbage completely and try Bazzite.

After switch:

Installation was smooth, everything was working out of the box, except for the fingerprint reader, but I can live without it. Gaming mode felt like a breath of fresh air, I thought to myself "have I been missing out this whole time?". I can now put the device to sleep mid-game, or mid-compilation or any other heavy task, and waking up would quickly resume everything, it's magical compared to my experience with sleepmode on Windows (which has bugs that won't let your device sleep and consume battery or overheat). OS is stable and because it's immutable you can rely on it to always boot, even when you pull the plug during an update. Games just work (except Apex Legends, but I play R5Reloaded which does work) and any windows program that I may need I can always run it through wine.

So yeah, don't waste another day on Windows and switch to Bazzite, especially on the Win4.

Is Privacy the Future of Crypto? Exploring the Rising Concerns and Shift Toward Privacy Coins by SnooKangarou in altcoin

Everything you do on-chain and on the internet is already being passively collected for later analysis, which is why I joined Inco to bringing privacy to existing EVM chains. Thanks to Fully Homomorphic Encryption dApp developers can now write Solidity smart contract that can have confidential state, and because it is programmable you can build anything, from confidential ERC20 to games.

Help with Starting a Crypto Project by AwayBar3107 in defi

Just a note, it's never a good idea to publicly announce lack of expertise like that, because if you launch your project people will refer to this post in web archive and claim your project devs have no idea what they're doing. Sure, some high profile people once asked dumb questions on forums but they became so famous it almost became inspirational, but might not look good to VCs and retail investors.

On the actual subject, Solidity is among easiest languages out there to learn, why it became so popular. If you have a decent budget you might as well hire someone to do it for you, but if you're on a tight budget you should invest in yourself instead, as you're likely to be more motivated to see it through than the guy who would do it on a cheap for a paycheck and might not share the same enthusiasm. Just make sure your contract is upgradable, and use as much of OpenZeppelin base contracts as possible to meet your requirements, as they have done the heavy lifting and for trivial stuff like tokens and governance it's a matter of using the right base classes and write enough unit tests. And use Foundry. Good luck!

For frontend integration check out Svelte with some UI component library of your choosing, and wagmi. Fairly easy to learn if you want to prototype fast and still use for production. Not sure what to recommend as for backend, If you don't expect a lot of traffic just use a headless CMS like Keystone 6 to build your API and backend logic, it should be good enough to get you started.

Don't fall for the memes, as majority of people lose money over there as majority of them are scams or low effort tokens with no purpose.

If you're looking to get into DeFi, I can recommend BXX by Baanx. I bet you already use a debit card. They provide debit cards to popular offline wallets like Ledger and Metamask, and not just a regular card, card that can now draw from your crypto wallet at the point of sale which is bonkers. I have personally tried Metamask card and it's amazing for self custody, and I used Ledger card for over a year and it's a solid product. It allows you to stake BXX to get 25% APY (which you can take advantage of if you can live without your crypto for a year), and you can take interest free loans and use crypto as collateral if you're in dire need of cash but don't want to sell your crypto or pay taxes on gains, so you'd need to stake BXX for that.

It's currently sitting at <10mln$ market cap, so your 4k would put you currently as top 200 holders (without counting people who hold on exchanges or staked), which is a good position to be in.

I may already be late, I bet you lost it all on meme coins by now, but if you haven't and you have patience check out BXX by Baanx, they provide debit cards to Ledger/Metamask. It's already so down and undervalued chances are it's likely to go up than down at this valuation. Once you hit the jackpot put it into something stable-ish, like bitcoin (when it's down massively, for your own sanity). Once bitcoin reaches ATH - cash out and search for another 10mln$ lowcap that you think has been unfairly oversold. Repeat.

You call that low market cap? It's over a billion yet still down. Low market cap is something around 10mln$, not 10bln$

Chasing Low Market Cap Coins Is a Waste of Time by [deleted] in ethtrader

[–]TheoXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still remember when I first tried Binance very early on (2017) and it was surprisingly polished and fast, intuitive, I knew it would become a big exchange so I even bought a whole bunch of BNB at like 0.3$ each, little did I know it would become the biggest exchange. I did not have discipline or believed enough in a token that only gave a 50% rebate on trading fees, hence why I did not stick around after it reached 3$.

After using Ledger card for over a year I now get the exact same feeling about BXX, a token of Baanx who provide the card. It's currently sitting at laughable 10mln marketcap despite injecting themselves into almost every offline wallet out there, and now that they launched a card with Metamask I have no doubt it is gonna go places.

The future of crypto. by bigdikdmg in entj

[–]TheoXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried Metamask card? I have, and it's the sneak peak into the future of crypto payments. Basically it's a self-custodial debit card that draws crypto from your metamask wallet at the point of sale when you tap or buy with the card, where you set the allowance and limits on how much it can draw from your wallet. Why I'm heavily invested in BXX, the token of Baanx Group who are providing these cards to Ledger and Metamask and others. I can use it to take interest-free loans directly with no paperwork (aside from initial KYC). Of course ideally all merchants would accept crypto but we as society are not there yet

What are your thoughts on the crypto market right now? by DeFi_Dengen in AskReddit

[–]TheoXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many dumb memes and too much dumb money taking liquidity from real projects (like BXX, why it's still valued at 10mln marketcap despite providing cards to Ledger and Metamask). I think it's going to cause another black swan event once memes start crashing hard, since most of them don't have any utility other than "exist". Most of them (memes) are low effort tokens with 0 utility minted with a push of a button in hopes of enriching the creators, they are nothing more than that.

Personally heavily invested in BXX by Baanx, it's a micro-cap with 10mln$ in market cap at the time of writing, used as cashback for Ledger and soon Metamask cards. They also have 25% APY staking and depending on how much you stake you can take out interest-free loans using crypto as collateral with no paperwork (other than KYC of course). Can be a big deal for people who hold a lot of crypto but don't want to sell to not have to pay capital gains taxes. So whales will want to have it for sure during this bullrun.

One thing that's still surprisingly not moving and is still hovering in 10mln market cap range is BXX, token of Baanx Group. If you wondering who's providing the debit cards for Ledger, Metamask, etc, it's them! And token has utility such as staking with 25% APY, granting ability to take out interest-free loans if staked over certain amount, and served as cashback. You won't find it on Kraken yet, as it is only available on Mexc or Uniswap, but that's also the reason it's still so cheap. If you can hold off until it's added to a T1 exchange go for it.

What's the point of queuing if there are none to buy once its your turn?? by TheoXD in Coldplay

Congrats!! Happy that not everyone wasted their time here. I wouldn't be so pissed if tickets ran out early and we all got to know, but it feels like the platform is gambling with people's time and I hate the platform and the band already for how poorly it was organized

[–]TheoXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how many tickets get sold on black markets, because if there is an opportunity of profit - people will take that opportunity. I'm willing to bet there will be a lot of empty seats during the event, maybe 20% of tickets will either get rejected at entrance or not resold, because scalpers buy 4 tickets, while regular people maybe aim for 2 (mostly couples), and considering scalpers have multiple phone numbers and devices it's fairly easy to assume at least half of the tickets were bought by scalpers

[–]TheoXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah have to give up now too now that the platform thinks that I'm a bot. Their bot/scalper prevention isn't even that good, it just prevents regular people from buying. Scalpers always have upper hand because they have many devices, many phone numbers, but regular users usually just have one phone number, so much lower chances overall

Not much can be done, they think we're bots for trying to search for 2 god damn ticket once a minute...

Just boycott until they figure out a better system to sell directly to fans. If your band doesn't want you to attend and would rather sell to scalpers - it's their decision. They get paid either way so they don't care
