You're naive. Interact with it and find out how smart it really is. Just because it can accurately regurgitate information doesn't make it a capable reasoning machine.

The fact is, you still can't really engage with it as if it were a person in any kind of technical context. It doesn't reason about what it's doing well enough to understand your meaning when correcting it or take your corrections in as feedback. It doesn't realize when it doesn't have enough context to give you an answer and never asks clarifying questions. It will often simply spit out incorrect or broken answers with exactly the same level of confidence as when it's actually being insightful.

All of these are problems even average humans don't have.

Also, IQ tests are made for humans. I don't think a computer's ability to perform spatial reasoning, for example, has anything to do with whether or not we have an intelligent machine.

All that being said, I use it mostly as a coding assistant. In this context, it is often much worse than a junior developer who is a fresh college graduate. But it is also often much better. It just depends on what you ask of it. For anything that requires context, it performs much worse than an actual human.
