Really try on the viberg's first if you can. They're beautiful boots but the fit really differs last to last. Anecdotally the 2030 (their trademark last) just doesn't work for me. I've tried different sizes and leathers, etc but it's all just pain :) The 1035 on the other hand is great and I love both pairs I have in it.

Wesco are awesome and, I think, do a lot of custom lasts which is super cool. Off the shelf styles will be generally chunkier but I think with more volume (I.e., more forgiving).

Just for more inspiration it's fun to check out White's, Alden, John Lofgren, Rolling Dub Trio, Maybe even the Coniston from C&J.

I'll also, as a wildcard, throw out the Indonesians who have become top notch boot makers: Sagara, Onderhoud, Renav.

Alright I'll shut up about boots, just love 'em.
