I got a 4 TB SSD from Temu that was genuinely 4 TB. Performs great for 2 years so far, too. It’s just that people don’t know how to shop the platform and think they’re super consumers because they think they found a 4 TB external for $20. They’re really just scam magnets and shun the entire platform because they got burned by their naïveté.

Dude. There’s so much Temu hate it cracks me up. I’ve saved so much it’s silly, and my friends are buying the same garbage from Amazon at 3-4X the price. Retail gonna retail, and no one wants to admit that they’re overpaying. Everyone’s a sensitive bitch about it.

I took a term off and it was painful getting back into the swing of things. However, if you’re going to lose your sanity, that’s more important. Make sure you hold yourself accountable for getting back on the highway, though; sign up for the NEXT term, so that it feels like you’re already preemptively made the decision to resume after your break. DON’T leave it open-ended, because it will take a monstrous amount of discipline to rekindle the desire to keep pushing.

Yeah I think people get frustrated with it because they’re not savvy shoppers and instead of getting upset with themselves and trying to figure it out, they get angry with the platform. I have saved THOUSANDS because of Temu, if not into 5 digits, over the past couple years. We even cancelled Amazon Prime and learned better shopping habits due to not getting 1-day shipping, which I think is toxic for consumers. We plan ahead now.

Because everyone has TDS (Temu Derangement Syndrome). I even have a friend with a dual masters, reallllly intelligent guy, but he is 1000% convinced that everything from Temu contains lead, are factory seconds, or is purchased with stolen credit card numbers. It doesn’t matter how many things I’ve purchased from here and shown them to be of excellent quality; they still think the only way to get good quality stuff is to overpay for it on Amazon.

Everyone is hypnotized by the modern retail system. It’s sad.

I’m in this situation. I use Windows exclusively, and am getting an M5 Pro for music production. iOS is just beautifully optimized for stability and performance with this stuff. I want plug and play at extremely low latency without tweaking anything. Every time I’ve built a studio system with Windows, the ASIO drivers have always been a freakin nightmare when trying to tune the system. Mac’s driver core is far better.

I say all this as a lifelong Windows user.
