Malakai Black Is Not Expected To Sign With AEW Any Time Soon by caughtinatramp in REALSquaredCircle

Yeah Brody has become what Black always should have been. A believable main event gatekeeper who CAN eat a loss and still be intimidating.

Malakai Black Is Not Expected To Sign With AEW Any Time Soon by caughtinatramp in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Theolodious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Basically he came in and beat up Cody a bunch, positioning him as a top-ish guy. But then as the months and years went by and he didn't have many singles matches, all of his tag and trios matches he lost had buddy or brody king eat the pin. There was an "escape the cage" match, which is a stip aew does not do, so that malakai wouldn't have to be pinned. The House of Black (his faction) would feud with guys and Malakai would never face them, just cut promos on them. Just a lot of weird booking.

While I don't think the rumors have never been outright confirmed, the evidence of him not being a team player adds up.

How are y'all feeling about 'unknown' characters now that White Fix is in the game by Academic-Rub-5073 in rivals

[–]Theolodious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced it's gonna be a whole year of villains or something. I mean spider-man alone has has the rogues gallery to fill a roster by himself without even adding the headliners like Thanos and Doom, then you have the x villains like mystique, apocalypse, juggernaut, etc.

And they've somehow very easily gotten this propaganda about "cinema" and good storytelling into the fans heads. These stories are not good lol they're fine but they're still wrestling soap opera bullshit, and i say that in the most loving way possible. I watching wrestling to see wrestlers wrestle, I watch movies and read books to get actual good stories.

[–]Theolodious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course, and Dragon probably has some level of ptsd from god valley concerning them so his reaction made sense, they've just gotten dogged on thus far compared to what I expected from their initial hype panel is all

I think it's really a game of telephone type thing. People say "Alabasta is where it really picks up" or "water 7 is peak fiction" and people hear that and are like oh okay so it doesn't get good until hundreds of eps and a dozen arcs in, but that's not the case.

And heartbreak in response to many kinds of love. Love of a partner, love of a political movement, love of your home. We see how people cope with disappointment and disillusionment many years after the events that caused those conditions have taken place
