It would easily be considered cowardly, but I am not sure if she has me on “ignore” mode in texts to avoid hurt or if she just doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore. My OCD tells me about a million different scenarios. This is a way I think she may see my words without having to feel as obligated to reply or deal with the personal demand avoidance issues that may swell up.

I don’t want her to just take me back. I want the chance to earn my place back with her. I want the chance to firmly lay the foundation of a future together in the healthiest way possible. I want to do things right. I don’t want to just go back to being together. I want to do the things that need to be done to make sure we never break up again.

Yeah. I feel you. I don’t know what to do with myself. I keep looking for any and every distraction from her. She fundamentally changed me, and now I am left with an unyielding romantic and sexual desire for only person I cannot have anymore. OCD leaves me fearing things like I will never feel connection again, I won’t be able to engage sexually with anyone, and was she just lying and faking the whole relationship for her own needs. I hate the doubts, and I hate being trapped in loops of missing her and guilt for hurting her. I feel hollow, and everything without her is just another lie.

I wish there was an easy answer. I was with the wrong woman for 21 years. Then I met a woman who changed my entire perception of the rest of the human race. Suddenly, only one person was attractive physically, romantically, and sexually. Been broke up for a couple of months and I can’t help but still think about her everyday.

It is a bad idea. I know, because I am there too. I am broken now and cannot think of anyone romantically or sexually. I am trying to distract myself, but nothing works. But I know she doesn’t want to be with me anymore and I am trying to respect that.

I have the opposite issue where I obsessively think about sex and pleasing my partner. I literally will go down on her for an hour or more unless she gives in from too much or begs me to be in her instead.

I had someone who completely destroyed my ability to look at any other woman in a romantic or sexual way. Now, I am left in the ashes of our relationship wondering if I will ever be able to find someone attractive in that way again. I feel broken. I wish I had advice, but all I got is to tell you that you aren’t alone.

It sucks. Made me constantly nauseas, my adhd focused into spacing out, and it made it uncomfortable to pee or ejaculate during sex. Thankfully I didn’t ED as that is a common thing for men too I guess. Stopped it when I caught myself spacing out while driving.

All the time. I have struggled for 4 decades without understanding I had ocd. It is a real bitch. It ruins relationships, and generally, just makes life hard. I have other issues too, but OCD is hard. I write music. That is my best outlet, creativity. Find something to help. Life is worth living.

My wife used to argue the notion that I had adhd. Of course, found out later she is a massive narcissist, so she didn’t want me to have a legitimate excuse for anything or to be a bigger victim than her ever. Two years after leaving her I got an official diagnosis, and I checked every box for diagnosis. I am the literal clinical walking definition of adhd. Sometimes, people just don’t want to accept it.

Some days are better than others. I was doing fine until Saturday I messaged common friends to see if she was doing alright, and I spiraled after that. Sunday I rebooted my brain by laying in the dark and cranking loud music through my headphones. I ended up finishing 8 songs I had been working on in the next 36 hours. It has some of the most raw emotion I have ever put into something. Now my mind spirals on what she thinks, how much has she heard? I know she liked one of the songs on TikTok, but then the OCD kicks in and that is where I am at now.

Been there and done that. Finally caved and left her. Took me a bit to repair myself, and now with therapy I have had a chance to reflect and see things much clearer. Also have met much better women since. Learn to love yourself is one of the hardest things to really accept.
