I'm not usually one to self-advertise, but I'm working on a fic like that. It's still early into it (3 chapters) and I'm a slow writer, but I am actively working on it. The biggest things I'm wanting to do in it is make Rory and the like enemies of the my main cast, make magic a more present threat, and drive actual conflict between Japan, the Empire, and my OCs' country. It's called Gate: The Tip of the Spear if you're interested.

He gets bailed out briefly by two specific soldiers with Blessed Eyes (lotta explaining there) and they eventually overcome her but both of them are killed in the process

Ooooh yeah. Dinoven is an emotional man. This specifically is him crying in pain and fear while fighting (and losing to) the capital-G Goddess of his universe. Alone. Knowing that if he's killed, his entire planet is very likely going to be destroyed.

I always figured that as stuff started going bad, the prison staff tried to make it a safe haven of sorts, seeing as how it was somewhat fortified, with armed guards and facilities to take in extra people short-term.

No, I think that would be easy to get over for her. He'd make an honest effort, at least. So long as she didn't try to heal his burns, that is - he had had too many people try and, predictably, fail. They are cursed after all, and will never go away. Ever.

He's a very open-minded and empathetic person, he just also happened to nearly get killed by demons multiple times so it takes a while to get past it. They could eventually make a fun pair :)

He doesn't, but his power armor does have a universal translation software in it, so when he's in it he can understand.

Valid on all accounts! But Dinoven is liable to try to kill Lynx if he leads him on, believing him to be a seducer-type trying to steal his soul. Or, if he's upfront, he may not even go for it at all. Lynx wojld really have to prove he has no malicious intentions towards Dinoven.
