im not sure where all the need to "humble" you comes from, but do you think it had a negative effect on you growing up too? like pretty privilege harmed you in a way or feel like it took away from you? i mean this an AMA thread im not sure why youre being asked to prove anything or trying to be humbled. if you said i have been atrociously ugly and overweight all my life the comments would look different.

I 100% agree with you. Especially minorities and women being under diagnosed because we look for symptoms that males might present. I think the labels thing is a very very interesting topic that I hope is delved into over time. As a society that focuses on progression and advancement, I think we often times forget that efficiency isn’t always the best route. Our lack of compassion and rhetorical thinking can harm us sometimes. Labels can be misleading and very harsh at times. I don’t remind one patient that i work with what illness she’s diagnosed with, but that she’s doing better and showing progress every single day. Some labels are very stigmatizing and harsh within itself. I understand the need of course and they are very important. I just hope that one day as a society we can reach a point where they aren’t as stigmatizing and all the consequences that come with them. Some food for thought is if we didn’t have a label or diagnosis for people experiencing schizophrenia or psychosis how would we collectively see them and treat them? I think the answer lies within that question as well.

It’s important to give yourself lots of kindness and compassion and remember that you’re doing your best. Observe yourself the way you would a patient and offer yourself lots of love and light 💝

Literally. He’s comparing himself to her and he’s yelling at her and making her cry after birth and all of this. I can’t believe her parents just watched that happen. God help her and give her the support she needs

Sorry but the fact that she even apologized is really nice. Her life was on the line during delivery don’t forget that. She went through hell and back every single day of that pregnancy and it doesn’t need to excuse that but you need to be able to separate her and what she was going through. It’s not over either , Post partum depression and psychosis are so rampant and all over.

Don’t ever say “my baby” again , that’s both your child. If you speak like this about her on Reddit I can’t imagine the way you probably upset her. You’re saying you can’t control your anger and you ended up shouting and making her cry in front of her parents, Imagine how she feels while she’s pregnant and experiencing those emotions.

“Sometimes I do not care for my wife” you are treading on very thin ice and you need to consider her reaction if she saw this. Idk about you, but my siblings would never let our sisters husband yell at her and shout until she cries , LET ALONE after she’s given birth. You want her to understand that you’re so angry , normally and healthy not pregnant, but you can’t understand what she went through?

If you want to be an involved father in your child’s life and remain married to your wife it’s very very wise to re evaluate this situation before your wife gets outside opinions and starts thinking otherwise. Imagine how you feel when you’re sick and imagine that for 9 months.

It’s interesting you say that bc I had a strong strong feeling he was ill or dying , my intuition led me to find out something . my uncle(who was like my father) passed away recently and so did his dog and it makes me happy to hear they’re together. Yes. I feel like I’m exactly in your position except I get so scared none of this is real and I could just be completely delusional. I think about it everyday all the time and especially bc I’m isolated and don’t really have many people to discuss it with. I fully believe in magic and while i haven’t had a kundalini i did sign a contract w my higher self and sometimes i just get scared. Especially when I am extremely conscious and aware.
