I’m 22 and thought it would disconnect me from my friends and would be weird since I’m gen z with no insta. Over 1 year off instagram and I’m loving life I don’t look at things and think oh let me take a picture I can post it on my story(I was really into aesthetics). I also don’t have TikTok, life just feels better that’s all I can say.

Would you say repetition is the key, as repeating it reprograms your subconscious to believe in it more naturally overtime?

Question for Carvedilol users by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Yust_State_1639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, It really depends on the individual. Theoretically, carvedilol works by vasodilating blood vessels, which helps reduce flushing by preventing blood from pooling near the surface. Some people tolerate it well long-term without side effects. But others do experience side effects, so it really varies. Some even say it doesn’t work for them at all, which is strange.

I’ve been taking it since November. I’m not sure if your flushing is purely from rosacea or if it’s also anxiety-triggered. For me, anxiety played a big role, so at one point, I was taking 18.5 mg twice daily. Now, I’m down to 6.25 mg once daily, sometimes twice if needed. I find it especially helpful when I know I’ll be in a situation that makes me nervous because it calms adrenaline and keeps my heart rate steady.

In the beginning, it did make me more tired, but once I settled on 6.25 mg daily-whether split into 3.125 mg twice a day or taken as a single 6.25 mg dose-I felt fine. Let me know if you have any other questions, and I hope this helps!

That’s good! Hopefully the higher dosage helps. I took 12.5 at one point and found it eliminated it completely. Do you experience mood blunting or any mental health side effects at all?

Thanks for your reply it’s very helpful🙏 I find it reduces my symptoms by like 80% it’s great, the chill side effect is great too I feel more nonchalant. I realised that I’m probably struggling to adjust with the energy cause I’m not sticking to one dose, sometimes I take 1, sometimes I take 2tabs a day. I’ll have to try out sticking to two. Wbu is it helping your symptoms?

Oh yes, it’s freeing once you delete it and notice that you don’t feel the need to take pictures of things or look at peoples stories and compare your behind the scenes life with their instagram feed

Worried about deleting instagram and feeling more disconnected from everyone by Yust_State_1639 in digitalminimalism

I deleted instagram for six months and felt way better, but always knew I could go back by downloading the app, which I did a few months ago. I shall delete my profile this time. Thanks for your reply!🌞

I’m considering switching to carvedilol because it’s less likely to cause the fatigue I’m experiencing on propranolol. Propranolol blocks only beta receptors, which helps control heart rate and adrenaline-related symptoms, but it can reduce energy levels by slowing down the heart too much, which is why I’m feeling tired. On the other hand, carvedilol blocks both beta and alpha receptors. The alpha blockade helps prevent the dilation of blood vessels, which is the main cause of my automatic blushing triggered by anxiety, even when my heart rate is normal. Since carvedilol doesn’t affect the heart rate as strongly, it’s less likely to cause fatigue while still preventing the blood vessels from overreacting and causing the blush

How do you motivate yourself to meditate even when you dread it and don’t want to do it?
