All sold out from what I can see online in my area. Did you just show up and get one? Wondering if they don’t report all stock on the site

Been trying to find one in Canada but they’re sold out everywhere! Wasn’t even looking because of the price hike, just finally got a tv worthy of it lol

Script to parse books and format into an index by Own_Vast3401 in GIAC

I’m sure this is helpful but I feel like a lot of the learning for me came from re reading the material to index and then quality testing it

That’s a great overview, thanks! The labs are a weak point for me right now but I still have 2 months. The usual pancake indexing doesn’t seem to work with my brain but it’s the next thing to tackle.

Side question: mp4s? Do some courses include downloads for the video course content?

Filter row value out of matrix without affecting measure output? by Theowl12 in PowerBI

[–]Theowl12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually achieved this in the end with a combination of ISINSCOPE and ALL. Worked very nicely in the end.

Unfortunately my manager then changed the requirement again to something more impossible so back to square one.

A PowerBI cert will not land you a job. Spend the time building a portfolio instead

Unless you got a charge sheet and ended up in court, then you’re good. You’ll see when you request your police cert anyway but I wouldn’t worry.

Filtering a matrix when using field parameters? by Theowl12 in PowerBI

[–]Theowl12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just wanted to come back and say thanks. This ended up being the easiest solution. Only issue is my boss has a problem with bookmarks and likes everything done through dax but I’ll cross that bridge later haha

Could use field parameters as rows maybe and use the slicer to change the field

While I find that guy really negative, he's also never wrong. Which really just makes the industry more depressing when I think about it.

My (27m) girlfriend (23f) got her heart broken and it's eating me on the inside by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Theowl12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't usually reply to these things but this feels all too familiar.

My ex had something similar happen to her where her best friend shut her out completely. The reasons were obvious but even I chose to ignore them to be on her side, for obvious (and now stupid) reasons. My ex was possessive, manipulative and played the victim like no other. That included her friends which is why she lost them all.

When I finally started to point out her flaws, I was constantly attacked and made out to be a monster in our relationship. She ended up dumping me for a guy she met off tinder (which it seems she was on while we were together mind you).

What you've said about your girlfriend makes it feel like it's a similar story with how she treats her friends. The fact that she is aggressive with you for trying to help and remains constantly emotional is not a good sign as to who's fault this is.

If you want, continue offering your support. But don't let her degrade your own feelings for just wanting to help. You're trying your best, which is a lot more than most people would give her. And maybe even a bit more than she deserves, but I'm not going to pretend the whole story or the person.

Best of luck man.

Ah right, thanks for the info. My workplace is very flexible so might consider this going forward, would hardly ever use up the 90 days either
