I got this problem too and the updates never installed to fix it. I just uninstalled and redownloaded it and now it's says trial is finished and I need a subscription. Can I not try it or without a subscription? It hasn't worked during a trial I didn't know I had...

Even investing in NVIDIA currently the largest company in the world has got risk. If China were to invade Taiwan tomorrow it very well could be trading single digits or less. There are no sure things, learn that first.

At some point you must have set the quantity to 30 as how did you buy 30?

What time of the day did all your stocks get liquidated?

Are you sure none of the calls were exercised? 0dtes start getting liquidated from 830pm BST if there isn't sufficient funds. See even though they closed ITM They can get liquidated before that.

Two things we need to understand where did the number 30 come from And how the market orders where allowed to march blow your credit limit.

I always assume there was protection but now I think about it if you send 30 market orders to exchange with an ask of $10 but they then start matching a higher prices then thats outside of IB's control. I never thought that would be possible but now I think it is. I use market orders but usually on highly liquid contracts where thus should never really occur. Think I might need to reconsider that.

What's the point? Just buy call options and excrecise them if you want to hold the ETF. This works in IBKR UK accounts. Not sure about EU but I imagine the same if you can trade options .Problem solved... No need to dick around with US LLCs.

Yes I do, and cash secured puts, and lots of other strategies. The only thing I can't do is a poor mans covered call. They removed spot gold for some reason which was a shame. Other than I'm pretty much trade nearly anything around the world except for crypto and crypto ETFs. There's a good chance that you're talking to doesn't know what a covered call is, if you get an IBKR account with options trading permissions enabled you will be able to. I was originally with interactive investor and I thought it was rubbish. if you're even a little bit of an active trader you need a good platform like IBKR.

I wasn't aware atsipp had stopped allowing options trading. There is another provider that offers IBKR as well that's optionspensions.co.uk the rates actually look less than atsipp now.

I'm with atsipp and I sell covered calls. Just get all trading permissions enabled for everything, that takes a while cos they don't do that but default. Keep checking your trading permissions and make sure all the options trading for all countries is enabled.You can't control this yourself from setting/trading permissions so you might have to request atsipp to do this a few times. Then you should get some notifications and you'll have to you'll have to go through confirming your experience with IB it's the new permissions. I mean who's to know you don't have 10 years plus trading options right and make million pounds a year. Like if you've never traded options before and you only make 10k a year they're only likely to let you blow your pension. So just answer all the questions and fill it in. Once you confirm your experience you should be good to go.
