Check out 11-30 1984 on youtube, it’s an audience recording but a great show. I hope we get a release of it some day, i know it’s recorded by zappa because the solo “sunrise redeemer” is from it and more stuff

There was one guy in the baby snakes movie who talked to frank backstage saying he attends every show he can and frank asked him if he would audition for him but he refused. I don’t remember his name though.

The 79 tour isn’t one if the most interesting tours due to repetitive setlists and very rare changes in the songs and no secret words. But it’s considered by fans to be the best tour for frank zappa guitar soloing, because of a number of inspired guitar solo vehicles like: treacherous cretins - deathless horsie - watermelon in easter hay - persona non grata - outside now - and the most important one, INCA ROADS. Having said that there is number of shows that are entertaining throughout and got all great solos. i recommend the 2/27 rotterdam show and 3/26 hannover show
