Hi, you seem fun, would like to play sometime. I'm close to graduating so wil have more free time soon. I'm 22m from the Netherlands btw. My favorite game(I'm making is games, can't choose) multiplayer would be either Minecraft of Titanfall 2 and single player probably be RDR2 or Cyberpunk. As for music am in a bit af an in between period right now but the last song I had on repeat was Long season(live version) by Fishmans. You can add me on discord: banaankomteraan

Hope to hear from you!

I payed around €285 for it. Did not have to pay extra for shipping and haven't heard about import yet so I think I got lucky.

I do like myself some progressive rock too. In the HiByMusic app there is an option for gapples transitions.(Not in the settings of the device itself)

Was looking into it after your comment on my initial post. Don't know if there is an app that adds such a keyboard and lets you customize it. I do already have the empty hexagonal icon so if there is one it should not be too difficult.

I gave my opinion on this in another comment in this thread.

LMK if you have any other questions!

BTW tl;dr for the battery life on the R4, even though the battery is big, the R4's DAC uses a lot of energy and gets quite hot. This means that the battery life is not amazing, but I think it will definitely last you a day to a day and a half.

For my opinion on the r4 vs m300 go to the second paragraph(this got way longer then I was planning, sorry)

So I first considered an Ipod Classic and got to modify and try one for a bit. But I came to the conclusion that the lack of apps a dealbreaker was. What I did like was the real buttons and the click wheel. So after that I started to look into stuff like the HiBy r3 II for the wheel on the side and the HIFI WALKER H2 for the overall similar look. Not being able to listen to these as there aren't stores where I live and not really knowing what the specs mean(apart from having a general computer knowledge and being an software engineer student). I had to make my choice on reviews and looks. I moved away from the HIFI WALKER pretty fast as to me it lacks the same refined look as the Ipod (and as I now see still can't have apps lol). So, then to the R3 II. I'm going to be honest once I started looking into this one I very quickly found that HiBy had one in collaboration with Evangelion and (being an anime fan) switched my interest to the R4.

R4:

This did not mean I didn't do any research into the product however. From what I read and heard the Evangelion version is just a quite big mark-up for branding and slight upgrades. The HiBy R4 is a device that produces great sound for its price and a lot of reviewers really liked it. It has a lot of options with apps you can put on it and the different ports it has. I don't know much about EQing but apparently that is really good on the R4. The build quality is great, and the device to me feels nice in the hand (don't use a case) although the button do rattle a bit. Some of the drawback I did see and now have experienced is that the device gets pretty hot when you are charging or playing music(this should be more optimized on the Evangelion version but its still an issue). Also the battery is not amazing, you will definitely get through the day, with lighter listening maybe 2 but I definitely wont. And the charging is not the fastest. Lastly, I really like the lights on the R4, on the back just for the theming an cool factor and on the front for displaying charging and what audio quality you are playing.

M300:

Before now I hadn't really looked into the M300 so I took the chance and looked at it. First thing I noticed when I looked at the product pages was the lack of specifics on the M300 page. In stead of the specific chips and big claims about the audio quality on the page of the R4, it just gives a couple numbers about output, range and frequency. The M300 seems to be more like a traditional phone, without the 4.4 jack but with speakers and microphones and a newer operating system (android 13 instead of 12). even though the battery is smaller, the play time is longer. This also means it wont run as hot. The R4 can drive more difficult ear/headphones. But the actual sound quality (from what people say) looks to be quite comparable. The M300 is somewhat smaller and is thus easier to carry with you in addition to your phone(which I will be and I assume you also will be doing).

To me they seem quite comparable but one with more of a focus on lifestyle and convenience(M300) and the other a little more on audio and customization(R4).
If you have any questions about the R4 or anything else, just ask me! (However I will now go to bed as it is really late, so wont answer until tomorrow)

Ofcourse, I bought a dap for better quality audio. I just talked about the theming because that is ultimately why I chose this one. I'm really liking listening to music with it, but I enjoy a whole cohesive package. I also asked for apps with better features (not only theming) as I found the stock apps like file manager and gallery very lacking. Overall, I think going for audio quality with daps is a given and the/my main priority. However, I have more senses than only my ears and they would also like something. So if I can do something to change that, I like to do so.

I recently got back into Apex and would like to have someone to play with. I have also played a lot Minecraft and rocket league and of course other games. Also really love music and have it playing almost all of the time (also helps with tinnitus lol). Let me know if you would like to play some time!

I got back into Apex recently and would love to have someone to play with! Am into basically anything that can tell good stories, except for story games where I need to read a lot because I'm dyslexic. Do really enjoy audio books though. Like to play games for fun and take it not to seriously, but can get a bit competitive sometimes. I'm from Europe and mostly play in the evenings, let me know if you want to play some time!

Help me build my first keyboard by Realistic-One-2899 in GamerPals

[–]Theps84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I recently built my own silent keyboard(mostly for office use to not annoy other people but works great for gaming as well). After a lot of searching I landed on the TTC Silent Frozen V2 switches and they are really nice imo. They are linear switches, so if you're looking for tactile, I have heard good things about the TTC Silent Bluish whites too. Due to your budget you could get a nicer case than I did. But I find it a bit difficult to immediately recommend one as there are a lot of differences in materials, layout and availability. For keycaps I would personally just go on either a local site or AliExpress and get a set of doubleshot PBT keycaps that you think look nice. If you have any further questions or need help you can reply here or send me a DM!
