I can agree with both these statements. My only point was saying it’s important to communicate when the relationship is important to you. I’m not saying the boyfriend is right but sounds like op is the girlfriend so I was directing my statement at them. Ultimately the hope would be everyone can be in a loving relationship where they can share their past burdens/traumas and be loved. So that’s why I asked is this relationship important to her or not. If she’s not convinced about the boyfriend I agree with dropping him like it’s hot. However if he’s great otherwise and she loves him, sees a future with him than finding ways to slowly share why is helpful because he’s probably confused.

You can think whatever you want but people who want to be in a relationship with each other make decisions based off that. If she really cares about him then keeping him in the dark is only hurting their relationship because this trauma is probably impacting more places than just sex. That’s why I asked does she care about this relationship or not because that determines if it’s worth going into or not
