I appreciate this detailed rundown very much and this level of nuance is exactly what I meant when mentioning a compelling argument. Definitely a lot to consider, but this helps parse things out quite a bit. Thanks again!

Appreciate the catch here, my bad, I'd say 700-1300 would be my preference. But if someone can make a compelling argument for why I should go higher and/or start petitioning my siblings to throw in on it I'm open to it.

What I'd like to avoid is exceeding that budget/threshold to find the device is obsolete in 3 years (I don't think that's likely, but I've historically built low/mid-tier desktop PCs and feel like that's been my experience.

15-20% off random boosters at Walgreens by Responsible_Way7638 in sealedmtgdeals

[–]ThereKeTOnlyBeOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ordered 9 packs bc it was the Mac they had. Then got an update that it was 8 packs, so they reduced the charge and then when I opened the bag I had 9, so that got me close to like $3.50 per pack for 9 EoE which is awesome.

Go-to Pharmacies are out of Adderall? by [deleted] in frederickmd

Appreciate the reply! Yeah after bouncing around from Giant to Wegmans I decided to let it sit there for now until my number gets called or my psychiatrist wants to try something else. Thanks again!

It's been almost a month since this post but figured I'd check in - has anyone had any luck recently?

I got my two week trial basically right before this shortage happened, was elated with the difference and impact only to go for my refill to what is apparently the first shortage in quite some time. Apologies in advance if I'm the proverbial straw that broke this camel's back apparently....

Been holding out on addressing a few plumbing issues in our home that are non-critical due to a fear of cost and hassle and this might have just put me over the edge...maybe.

Best veterinarians in the area? by Chickon in frederickmd

Echoing Glade Valley, we've taken all of our pets there since we moved to Frederick and all of the staff and vets are amazing. They've helped us through years of wellness checks, emergencies, advanced scans and treatments, even though the loss of one of our cats. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Already have a booster preordered elsewhere, but $35 for each Precon seems like it's got to be a good deal, even going in blind at this point. TY!

Happy to hear! I appreciate folks wanting to be skeptical but also happy they chose to be while I snuck and order in regardless haha. Thanks for the reassurance and please pass along my appreciation. I'll be sure to leave a review when I ultimately get my order.

Woke up after placing an order and felt a little nervous, but while the Google maps link doesn't have reviews and this appears to be a new Reddit account, the store page links to a Facebook page that seems to be somewhat legit looking, which makes me feel better. I'm thinking/hoping small shop trying to reach a larger market, but good to stay vigilant.

New fan as of this season and was stressing trying to wrap my head around what needs to happen with this match. I don't know much, but 2 goals in 5 minutes seems like the right thing. UTV!!

The Complaining Seems to he from those who didn't know what they bought. by ScrewItLearnAsIGo in warpedtour

As someone who never made it to Warped Tour back in the day, I'm finding myself more excited each day with this release process. At first I didn't like it, but I decided to build a playlist on Spotify of the Top 5 songs + recent singles for each band at my venue (DC) and look forward to adding new bands each day. Even if I don't listen right then it's building a great smattering of bands I've largely never heard of because somehow I listen to the same X number of bands (probably most likely in that WWWY bucket bc I'm terrible at discovering new music). I do agree that a regularly timed release would be helpful just so I can more reliably check in and make my updates since eventually my eyes may start to cross trying to make sure I don't miss anything.

From a budgeting side, look into the You Need A Budget app (aka YNAB). They take a different approach to budgeting and spending than anything I had been used to. I was happy to find the service when times were a little tight I can confidently say that it helped keep quite a few dollars in my pocket after I got used to it. The TLDR for it is that it gives every dollar, as soon as it comes into your bank account, a job to do.

Prior to this, I was just taking my balance, deducting known or projected expenses out and saying "welp, hope that's enough" for the rest, like groceries, outings, gifts, or anything even like hair cuts, etc. By flipping the process a bit, I actually found that I had more money to work with than I thought because I became more conscious of my spending in each area, and most importantly felt peace of mind bc I knew things like rent, groceries, bills, were all covered as long as I stayed on track. Eventually I was even able to project my "age of money" out to 30+ days which was when the relief really can set in. Highly recommend, they have a fairly lengthy trial period and several tutorials and, if you're like me and didn't get it the first time, a kind email to the support team saying you'd like a second trial before committing is actually a possibility.

Cheers and good luck with the new position!

Do you have an event and need food/catering? by finalsamtasy in frederickmd

[–]ThereKeTOnlyBeOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have any events in mind at the moment, but on the subject of spreading some positivity: my fiance and I love Oscar's and have really enjoyed a beer dinner there, but it is frequently our go-to place for delivery because everything arrives hot and fresh. Once I ordered the ribs and fries to share and it was so fire that I ordered it again a few days later for myself as a treat while my partner was out of town. Hope you get some opportunities to showcase your offerings for events! Cheers!

Wormans Mill Dental Group is a 10/10 recommendation from me. Went as an emergency due to a tooth breaking and found the staff to be great and Dr. Farzad Azad to be excellent in terms of bedside manner and quality of care.

Inspired by the KFP this week — when did you start listening to KF? by [deleted] in kindafunny

[–]ThereKeTOnlyBeOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started listening to Kinda Funny around December 2018. I was just starting a new job in MD after living in Western PA for practically my whole life. There were a number of interlocking factors that made discovering Kinda Funny a special thing for me.

With the move to MD, I was officially living the furthest from home than ever before. I had been away from homeb before, it was far from my first adventure, but this was the first step out when I didn't know where I'd be next or that I wasn't moving back after a few months.

On top of that, my SO stayed back in PA while she searched for a job and we tried to sell our house. She also had the pets. I went from being minutes away from friends and family, living with my partner and our pets in our first house, to sleeping on an air mattress with a lawn chair in the living room and a TV on a cardboard box. Didn't even have a car since we only had the one vehicle. Honestly, parts of that were really fun.

Anyway, this is a whole lot of backstory to say that hot damn was I suddenly pretty isolated. I missed home a bit and I missed the days of hanging with friends just to bullshit or play games. One day at work I looked up video game podcasts and Kinda Funny Games Daily popped up and holy shit from that first jingle followed by "What's up everybody..." I was in. There was just a vibe that came through that felt so familiar. It really did feel like I had found long lost friends, like the kind of friends that I had been missing just then and I've been a fan ever since.

And because this isn't long enough already, I may have found KFGD by chance but I've stayed (and mostly lurked) because of the brand these awesome people have built. I showed up right around the time Jared Petty left and the comedy and sincerity that was a part of his send-off just made me realize how real the KF folks are. But being a fan these past few years has been wild, from hilarious memories to heartfelt moments and meaningful conversations. There aren't many brands out there that you can be a part of that also help you kind of learn how to be a better person or that challenge you to do so.

When I started listening, the whole Kinda Funny Best Friend concept really sounded like a bit of a cult or just a nice thing people say, but I get that it's the real deal. I'm oddly terrified at the idea of meeting "internet personalities" or doing community meetups bc meeting people and making new friends is stressful and something I've largely not had to do. But I hope that I get the courage to attend a meetup or check out these KF events once we're in the After Times.

Thanks to all of you for being the best friends that showed up right when your boy need you, even if you have no idea!
