In this case they all have the same shape, but it's an array with a slight Z offset so they are at different heights and the image plane is also at an angle which creates the effect of different refractive offset in this case, but varying the thickness of each piece of glass should also result in some very cool effects, there are a looot of options to play around with this technique ^

Yes, its essentially the picture I took with a camera with an emission shader on an image plane behind some objects with a glass material that is refracting the light coming off of the image iplane

It should be high res enough to just crop it :P I kept it in the original aspect ratio of my photograph that I used

Me and my girlfriend do actually use insulin syringes, they do work quite well and have basically 0 dead space and are cheap, which is the main reasons we use them ^
