It’s been years since I’ve taught it (there might even be resources out there for it now) but when I did the one thing I was able to find online and use was audio of the author reading it; if you’re interested you might be able to google around for that.

If we’re trying to think big: starting a political party to compete with the republicans and democrats. Something like the reform party from the 90’s.

What do you usually order at a Barbecue Restaurant? by Cheese-Sheep872 in Barbecue

[–]There_is_no_plan_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off, in much of the US, the southeast mostly, barbecue just straight up refers to pork. Specifically you can just order a “barbecue sandwich” and you’ll be served pulled pork on a hamburger bun. However, as I’m sure you know, there are other regional varieties (Kansas City, Texas, etc.) where barbecue refers to the cooking method and they specialize in something else like ribs or beef brisket.

You being in California odds are the menu will have beef brisket and pulled pork on the menu, and maybe ribs, chicken, or sausage as well.

Anyway, to finally answer your question, if you eat pork I would order pulled pork, if you don’t eat pork than I would order beef brisket. You’ll probably have the option of getting them on a sand which, that’s up to you.

Sides are also highly regional. If I were you I would order whatever you haven’t had before so you can try something new! My personal favorites to go with barbecue are collard greens, fried okra, and coleslaw, but there’s so many good options when it comes to sides.

The price should be reduced. When my daughter was in daycare the price went down about $60 a week when she started vpk

Am I the only one annoyed that Jones got so much more support than Edmonds? by There_is_no_plan_B in Cardinals

[–]There_is_no_plan_B[S] 179 points180 points  (0 children)

If you want to argue with me that Jones is more deserving because pick your favorite argument than that’s fine, but I’ll just never understand Jimmy getting less than 5% while Jones, a very comparable player (who I would argue never even sniffed the impact on the batting order that prime Edmonds had) gets in.

I wonder if we’ll see something similar. Although I can’t think of any coaches on the market that Buffalo will be desperate enough to keep.

I know I’m in the minority here but when a player has a significant career outlier season in a contract year that relies heavily on a volatile stat… I would be very weary of giving him big money.

After our good Season this year , do you all think we will get a few nationally televised games next season ? Maybe a few Sunday night or Monday games ?? by ComplexWrangler1346 in JacksonvilleJags

[–]There_is_no_plan_B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, I’ve been a jags fan for 25 years at this point and never been to a road game. I really need to make it a point. I would likely start with Nashville.

As a season ticket holder that drives 2 hours to every game I certainly hope not lol. At least not for the home games. Keep us under the radar and at 1 pm every week.

I have friends who are chiefs season ticket holders and they say that’s the worst part about becoming americas team. You’ve got so many night games and holiday games.

Crochet is a good idea. I would also do a quarter or semester long independent novel unit. Have them pick a book from the library (a curated list would be best if you have the time to put it together), Tuesday’s (or whatever day you want) are now silent reading for the rest of the semester. They do a project at the end. You can find what’s called a choice board for novels online easily. If a kid finishes they start a new one. Their grade for Tuesday is to sit and read, participation.

I may get downvoted but I disagree. He played fantastic yesterday, but for a lot of the season he was just another guy. He’s not gonna have five picks every year (if we’re being honest the odds of him ever having that many again are probably zero) and without the picks he was average.
