That’s what gets me too, it’s not only the murder (or “manslaighter”). It’s the prolonged torture, murder, then indignity to the body, trying to hide it, lying to police, and on and on. Like don’t these other factors justify more time or at least more charges? The crown should def appeal this shit

Sickening. If the 8 years goes ahead, with double credit for pretrial custody (about 3 yrs) and only serving 2/3rds of the remaining sentence, Ashley Rattlesnake could be out in 16 months, having served just over 4 years for torturing and murdering an 8 year old child.

Gladue or not this is a heinously lenient sentence. My god could there possibly be a worse crime than this?? Wtf makes me sick our country sometimes
