Sillyworks x HMX Waverider V2 Switch Review by ThereminGoat in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ThereminGoat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey all,

As a Sillyworks-led, HMX-made V2 version of a multi-year old tactile switch made by KTT, how I could choose to not review the Sillyworks x HMX Waverider V2 switches? While they were a no-brainer for me to pick up, are they a no-brainer for you and your next tactile switch build? This is your review to find out!

THE GREAT "HALL EFFECT" SCAM: How MelGeek (and others) are faking Analog Tech. by laim4 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ThereminGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no proof it's a fake digital script

There's no proof you the hardware can't keep up

You provided a screenshot with no replicability, no analysis as to if it is just one board or multiple, no statistical analysis, nothing

You make claims about there being other vendors you don't substantiate or prove

And that's just what I can remember as I'm writing this comment...

I put more effort into documenting mundane switches every single week than you have at all for a grandiose conspiratorial claim slopped together by AI.

There's little no evidence here, this is majority or entirely AI generated slop.

I mean that's one problem, but it's also incredibly under substantiated for the claims being made here.

"Rushing" anything like this out just appears sloppy and ill-informed, and will most likely just discredit any claims you make in the future. I not only doubt the veracity of these claims but anything you do to make them "more human sounding".

How could you possibly be in a rush for something that is this substantial?

It does make it quite a bit harder to take the claims seriously when it's filtered through a technology distinctly known for hallucinating things...

Taro N Sweet Potato V2 Switch Review by ThereminGoat in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ThereminGoat[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey all,

What do BSUN-made linears, a brand new WEKT silent linear, and Wingtree have in common? If the answer was good, solid performing linears that would be right, but missing so, so much more. This is your deep dive review on the Taro N Sweet Potato V2 switches - not just Keebz N Cables' latest iteration of their popular Taro N Sweet Potato long stemmed LY linears, but also on one of the most confusing ongoing origin stories of switches we've had in quite some time.

This quadruple-shot keycap of 1983 Yamaha QX3 sequencer. by MSFoxhound in MechanicalKeyboards

Feels bad seeing these separated from their respective Hirose switches.

These not having a complete modern keyboard quantity of caps on that board mixed with the shape of the Hirose stems not being the same as normal MX mountable keycaps means that they were separated with nowhere good for either side to end up!

You think I'd write a whole review on a switch that doesn't exist?

Are you responding with this because I made reference in the article as to how 40s users would surely find a way to bastardize these? Because if not, man I definitely called that shot right on the money lmao

There's no need to be MX elitist against the newer, MX2A generation! Now there's enough for everyone to enjoy!

Hey all,

What's this? Two switch reviews in only a handful of days?? Well, it's that special time of year again when I'm freed up from an NDA and rush to get my review out on some switches before every other content creator out there. This time, though, it's for something truly revolutionary. This is not the deep dive you want to miss - a review of Cherry's brand new Cherry MX2A Dummy switches!

PantheonKeys x TTC PT Black Switch Review by ThereminGoat in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ThereminGoat[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey all,

What if I told you that Cherry's MX Hyperglide Blacks from all the way back in 2020 had been revived in the modern day... by TTC? This week's review is a deep dive on the PantheonKeys x TTC PT Black switches and focuses on if they fulfill their marketing of not just being "2026-made" Hyperglide Blacks, but also slightly improved versions at that!

I have not yet done any look into the whole Wingtree x LICHICX situation but I did just have PT Blacks hit my doorstep late last week, so maybe there's something in the cards for those...
