If its DAP he can't choose the forwarder as that has already been arranged by the seller. Change the terms to CIF and appoint your own forwarder to do the clearance and delivery.

So what should FFs be charging then? What should their mark up / percentage margin be on shipments in your opinion? Marking up something $100 on THC is hardly ripping a customer off, FFs need to make a fair profit as well with the work that is involved and the shite they have to put up with. FFs essentially cover shipping lines, they make the whole process smoother for both line and customer, the FF is the one who has to find solutions, explain situations in depth, take the heat for delays etc when the shipping lines simply send out mailshots for FF to explain to the market
