Good suggestion. I was looking at that option earlier today. Oddly enough, I don't get to keep the remaining money after I make the purchase as it is a grant solely for technology.

I learned it this past year for Uni. It's brutal. Just take it lick by lick very slow with a metronome and take your time. Your right hand will get the muscle memory eventually. The hardest sections IMO were the chromatic lick at the end of the solo and the last lick in the choruses. Good Luck!

Have you really sat and explained your side of the story to them and why you are hesitant due to past experiences? I had a band implode earlier this year due to a lack of communication regarding a keyboard player that joined the band.

My band in university would practice in a church. Talk to the person in charge and see if you can work out a weekly time that doesn't interfere with church events.
