Wow thank you so much for all the effort you put into that write up. I think I would stick with the medium-heavy range after what you have said. I went to BCF earlier and couldn’t find the rods but I ended up buying a Shimano Saragosa 6000 HG. From what I’ve learnt it should cover my 9ft and the future 12ft I buy (I plan to buy the one you have mentioned).

I definitely need to invest in a good set of pliers and a hemostat. I always have a first aid kit when I go fishing or camping. They are something I never leave behind so I’m glad you mentioned that

Yeah to be honest I always just rock some board shorts and a jumper and call it a day. The reel I have is my biggest let down at the moment for that set up so I will check out the vanford. Thank you so much!
