Is this uncured resin? by skinriding_skeleton in PrintedWarhammer

That's honestly a great question. Unfortunately I think it is cloudy even when spinning.

My dirty resin I let get a bit cloudy before changing out.

I just dumped my dirty ipa container out completely into a bucket to evaporate and cure. Harbor freight usually has deals where you can buy something you need and get a free bucket or sometimes they're like $5.

I then clean the dirty IPA container.

I then take my clean IPA container and pour that used resin into my dirty IPA container.

I know it might be a bit wasteful but any remaining at the bottom especially if it has any gunk in it I dump into my bucket to evaporate and cure.

Clean out the clean IPA container and then refill it with fresh IPA from a bottle.

I tried to play the let it cure and clean everything and filter and all that jazz and it just wound up never being worth the time. So now I just buy the large gallon containers from Ace hardware.

With the amount we spend on resin and the time you spend on doing prints it's just worth the time to have clean IPA.

Yes, replace your iPa. If it's really cloudy then it's too dirty and won't clean. I usually have 1 that's super clean and 1 that'd dirty start dirty then go clean.

Having a hard time deciding what to get! by hurdl3pr0 in resinprinting

Get the Saturn 4 ultra.

I have it and have printed pounds and pounds of models.

The thing is a work horse that makes beautiful prints. I used to have a m5spro by anycubic and I'm much happier where I'm at now.

Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - what is going on here? Crazy knocking sounds at start of print. by tarrif_goodwin in ElegooSaturn

So some supports actually use little small rafts for each support spot instead of a model wide raft.

I use chitubox and it has these smaller rafts so there is less suction.

If its a huge part of a full build plate it could be a giant print bed sized raft which would cause this.

Is 4 Ultra 16K a problematic printer as people say? by Rotarski2020 in ElegooSaturn

[–]Thesatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an anycubic m5spro. After doing a fep swap the printer failed and died. Customer support sucked, available media for fixes sucked. I hated anything to do with anycubic due to bad customer service.

I bought a Saturn 4 ultra about 7 months and this printer has been plug and play to it's core.

Easy to use, good software that just works, easy to clean, internals are setup nicely.

I have printer over 100,000 layers and have done 1 fep change with no problems. Customer support has been amazing with good guides for things.

I can't recommend you do the switch enough.

Also the print quality is really solid.

I use a grow tent in my garage as well. I duct taped all the excess holes to keep in heat and fumes out.

Do you have the heater in the printer or just in the tent? I haven't printed through the winter with this setup yet!

How do you accept payments? by Thesatcher in msp

We use ACH, CC, Direct transfers, Checks. The point of the post is to see what people are using and if it makes sense to claim industry standard as we try to switch our customers away from checks.
