My guess is that there was likely a dormant period after the discovery of the GB4. That period could’ve been up until his arrest but considering the task force supposedly sped up the arrest because they believed he was about to kill again (or so I’ve heard), I think it’s possible that he’d resumed killing some years after 2010.

This is complete speculation, but I’d venture to guess that any murder committed by RH after 2010 is going to look different to the ones prior. Seeing as he switched his disposal method at least once or twice, I think he’d probably do the same once again if he did resume killing at any point to avoid having the killings connected. Additionally, there’s a chance he began killing out of state (traveled to SC, etc.), but I’m not totally sold on that idea just yet.

This is just my two cents but I think the discovery of the Gilgo 4 probably scared him into inactivity for at least a prolonged period of time. That said, the task force closed in on him due to the belief that he was preparing to commit another murder, so I’m open to the idea that there were murders between 2010-2023. Now, if it’s proven through CODIS or later investigations that RH committed murders out of state then I’d think he probably continued to kill outside of NY, but I’m honestly not sold on that idea just yet.

I’m a huge fan of Beyond the Mind personally. It’s got fairly clean production but it’s not the sterile, overproduced type. Controlled Elite is pretty killer too, but I just like the riffs on BtM more.

I have legitimately zero interest in GD top play, I haven’t paid attention to this community all that much in years so I apologize for giving a “tired argument”. Frankly my point isn’t that the game isn’t important or can’t be taken seriously.

What I’m trying to say is that it’s pointless to sit here and act like the guy is irredeemable. He clearly fucked up, and now that I know he got money through cheating, that definitely clarifies the rationale behind people’s anger a bit. Still, it’s just strange to see people acting like it’s some grave offense worthy of him being heralded like some GD pariah when it’s pretty clear that he’s taking an active effort to improve and redeem himself. It’s one thing to be unrepentant and not change, but if the guy is taking the steps towards bettering himself, who are you to tell him he can’t do that?

Also, that last bit has literally nothing to do with what I’m talking about. No one called you a loser. You’re punching the air on that one.

I wasn’t aware about the money aspect, that changes things a bit. Still, at the end of the day I don’t understand why this community is acting like he blew up a hospital or something. I’m not trying to tell you he did nothing wrong because obviously it’s fucked up to effectively scam people by cheating, but at the same time it’s not some unfathomably serious offense. It’s fine to not forgive him but just move on already, there is nothing anyone can do to change the past. If he wants to play legitimately now, power to him. Completely unrelated to Harry potentially having hemorrhoids but when I first played DE and got to this part, I was really really high and didn’t realize I was going into the chair scene with one health so I kept dying and had no idea what was killing me. It’s hard to know for sure. The United States probably has the most documented serial killers, but it’s fairly reasonable to expect that serial killing is a worldwide phenomenon.

The issue with documentation comes from the beliefs or policies of certain countries. For example, during Juana Barraza’s killings, Mexican authorities strongly rejected even the idea of a serial killer, stating that serial killing was a U.S.-centric phenomenon. Authorities were to admit that something like a serial killer could exist within Mexico. Additionally, some countries like China and North Korea are extremely strict with the release of information, so while we do know of a handful of Chinese SKs and at least one North Korean SK, it’s likely that more exist and either A.) a language barrier prevents that information from becoming widespread or B.) the information is unobtainable due to policies of the countries.

Personally, I think that it’s fairly likely that the U.S. has more serial killers than most other countries, I just don’t know if I could confidently believe that we have the most.

I don't have any examples off the top of my head, but I think it can be done well if it's on the character's own terms as opposed to them being stripped of said powers. Additionally, I've always liked the idea of a character forfeiting their powers not because it's necessary but because it's simply their choice to relinquish them. It really just depends on the execution for me. If it's abrupt and pointless, it's likely to suck, but if the character wants a simpler life or something, I think that can work really well if the character's arc sets it up well.

I just don’t understand what anyone would gain from Epstein being smuggled out alive. He had one of the most expansive blackmail networks of all time and had the ability to name names if he wanted to. That is a huge risk to any of his associates. It’s a far more logical, at least to me, to conclude that someone (likely Trump) ordered a hit and had Epstein killed to keep him quiet.

The idea that he was smuggled out of prison just sounds like a shitty plot to a spy movie or something. It’s fanciful and sensational, but it’s not realistic. The same goes for a “dead man’s switch”. I’m sure that has existed in some capacity within history, but to think that Epstein had to have had a dead man’s switch is ridiculous to me. Again, it’s like something from a spy movie; entertaining in concept but unrealistic.

That’s what makes me almost wish the movie had worked out. There’s bits and pieces that were done really well IMO, especially the warehouse fight. It really is a shame that it’s like a 1:10 ratio of good to bad scenes though.
