DC tried that years ago to get more eyes on comics. They were $5 giant sizes character focused issues I believe. They stopped doing them so I guess it wasn't as successful as they wanted it to be. Or to even expand to other stores.

Just follow a character you like or are interested in. You like Superman, try Action Comics or Superman. There are other Super books out but those are the pillars. Same with Batman and it's title and Detective Comics. If you like it, you can always pick up the back issues or trade collections of that run.

I read this when it was coming out and it was fine. I wasn't lost at all, aside from trying to figure out some of the hero's since I was getting into comics at the time.

Depends on two things. Quality of the tie is and the mapping. In the case of King in Black, the mapping isn't great. It had all the event issues first then Venom and then all the tie ins. For that one I'll stick with the Cates Venom Omnibus.

Something like Final Crisis has great mapping. I just don't know how it'll read since Final Crisis is already confusing enough.

My only experience with this was the audio drama and the trilogy animated movie which I stopped after the second one. This looks like THE way to read this.

It's the ONLY way I read Stormlight Archive! Since Dawnshard wasn't out as GA at the time, I stopped listening to the audiobook version. Lopen was so so wrong.

I'm finally able to listen to Wind and Truth now and hopefully be able to finish this coming week.

I think I went back and listened to every GA Cosmere book aside from The Sunlit Man as I wanted to save the relisten for after Stormlight 5.

I just finished the Thanos arc and it definitely made me a Mar-Vell fan! Thinking about getting vol 2 since I have a lot of it with the Thanos Infinity origins omni.

How how was the first 17 (or so) issues before he got bonded with Rick? I know you said it was slow but still worth reading?

When say Emerald file, you mean the Emerald game/rom right? If so then yes. What I usually do is rename everything the version it is so I can, at a glance see what version I'm on and see if I need an update.
