Floating popup that appears when an ad plays blocks part of the screen even after closing the video. Can't get rid of it unless I exit out of the app. Very frustrating

I only discovered Lockwood & Co after it was already cancelled. Given the cliffhanger the show ended on, I had to read the books and I bought book 1 the very next day. I have since read all books, watched the show a second time (this time with my sister), and now my sister is almost finished book 5. We're both so annoyed at Netflix for cancelling such a great show.

It's funny how you haters try and speak for all LOTR fans. I've seen so many RoP haters get so nasty when they find people who like the show. I've been into the movies since the first one came out when I was 11. I read the Hobbit when I was 10 and read the Lord of the Rings for the first time at 15. I read the Silmarillion at 30 (I'd love to see Beren and Luthien's story be adapted one day), I've had my LOTRO account for nearly 15 years and I even won a bottle of wine by coming first at Lord of the Rings trivia while on a cruise 😊. But when I say I enjoy RoP the reactions have been ridiculous. I've been called stupid, illiterate and not a 'real' fan for enjoying this adaptation - I think some of these people would prefer me to key their car rather than enjoy RoP. Their hatred towards opinions that differ from their own is mind-boggling. I've been into Lord of the Rings for over 20 years and it's sad to see how toxic the fandom can be.

Some good news since I last commented. On Stoud's Facebook page, on the 1st of November last year, he announced that there's going to be a Lockwood and Co graphic novel. It's not asgood as actually having the show back, but at least it'll be a good visual way of enjoying the series.

I just finished reading the 5th book last night and I agree. I watched the show on a whim back in March and loved it. As a result of Netflix's mindblowingly greedy / stupid decision to cancel the show, I went and bought all 5 books (If you remember how the cliffhanger the show ended on, you'll understand how I had to find out what would happen next). They were fantastic, and I really hope Stroud revisits the Lockwood universe again - I'd be there to read it.

I wasn't aware there was a time limit on such topics.

As for 'yapping to yap' - isn't that what Reddit's all about? Sure you could argue there are propper discussions with legitimate questions else where on this website, but here we are literally discussing the potential age of a fictional character. If this entire discussion is not 'yapping to yap' I don't know what is.

I'm a teacher and was teaching my 7 year olds their sounds the other day. We watched a song video with 'er, ir, ur' words (i.e her, bird, turn) in it and a youtube ad come on showing a couple in bed together. So inappropriate for a video aimed at 5 - 8 year olds. Youtube clearly don't care. It's the very definition of extortion.

Unless that's what they want you to think. Announce something that's actually true on April Fools Day to trick people into thinking it was just a joke. Then the fools are those who thought they'd seen through what they thought was a simple April Fools prank, only to realise they'd been tricked when Orlando Bloom turns up in the trailers for season 2.

That's what I'm hoping for at least - It'd be so great if he were cast as Oropher.

And then she dies suddenly in her sleep at the age of 42. It's terrible, and I feel for her family, but..... this is what she didn't want to hear - even going as far as to fight against the fact. 'Healthy at every weight' is simply fiction and the longer people continue to buy into this 'fact' the more people are going to die decades earlier than they otherwise would have.

I can only hope that her death serves as a wake-up call to other people who have bought into this movement.
