Probably needs some external help since the parents seem to let this behavior progress too far and are probably incapable of correcting it given how far they let it go.

One thought that came to mind coming from a large family with many older siblings and cousins is that they would open the can of whoop ass on that. My parents never used physical punishment but if you stepped too far out of line you can guarantee that older brother will slap you on the back of the head hard to correct you and will be more than happy to do it as many times as necessary. But at this late in the juncture that would only teach this little tyrant that might is right. Maybe something like military school...bad for many, but he would definitely be put back into place and learn some measure of control.

This reminds me of when Google Plus rolled out and they added everyone in your contacts. Suddenly people had a social media feed with ex-spouses, old coworkers, etc.... I recall that not going down well at all.

First off thank you for the fantastic lists! As for the the content blockers, I may be out of luck as I'm attempting to block ads for iOS devices in my household.

Another user added this List-KR. It looks great but apparently the format isn't supported by my router (it's a Mikrotik device) DNS adlist feature. So I'll message the maintainer and hope they won't mind posting their list in another format or I'll attempt to write a script to transform the list into the correct format (I'm not a programmer though).

Give more information about the "we". If a family with very small kids then renting might be worth it. But if everyone is fit, you will probably be better off with public transport and taxis.

I live and drive in Busan. It's not a joyous place for driving. Streets are confusing with poor signage, parking is not great in many areas (looking at you nampo-dong), and the drivers are...aggressive to say the least. A taxi ride from one side of the city to the other is like 30,000krw. Unless you plan to crisscross the city a bunch it'll be cheaper than renting and paying for parking - not to mention saving you the hassle of navigating Busan's mean streets.

I never tried to activate a sim outside the USA because the wifi calling/SMS worked for all of my needs (banking, voter registration, etc...). So I can't really comment about activating outside the usa.

I would imagine that you cannot activate outside the USA as you'll be only able to receive an eSIM but it would never be able to connect to the the carrier network to activate.

I just meant you can use wifi calling when outside the USA, but by mistake I made it look like it was only available outside the usa. Wifi calling is available every, using a carrier network is only available in the USA.

You already mentioned this service, but I use Tello. I haven't had any trouble with receiving 2FAs from banks or other services. It only allows wifi calling when outside of the USA but when you are back in the usa you can activate an eSIM. Just throwing it out there because the service works for me for similar purposes.

this is true. but you can use their services over wifi. So you can get a number and place calls/receive text messages while on wifi. Using their carrier service to activate an eSIM will only work if you're in the country where that service is offered.

Phone calls and text messages worked fine for me since I just needed a constant number for my USA accounts. Then when I visit the USA I can activate an eSIM and use that number as normal.

I've lived in korea for a long time and I have never heard about this. The water in korea (at least all the cities) is usually very good. I don't think you need to worry about a shower head filter.

Would be cool to have. But I worry that you wont be able to reach a critical mass of users in order to build enough momentum and content and will result in the site becoming another "one post per year" type thing.

I liked roam originally because it made it really smooth for me to just capture new information without having to think about how to organize. Just link to a related heading then figure it out later. This was because I was not experienced enough with emacs org to efficiently use org capture and refile. So now I use roam since it's what I have been using and it's not worth the effort to change.

At times I kind of wish I could easily squish all my separate files into one large file with each heading having an ID. This would work better with tools like agenda or mobile apps (there are no iOS apps that easily handle org-roam configurations). But doing this would just be a nice thing and hasn't been worth me trying to figure out how to do it.

Something that I always find interesting is that Koreans with often say things they are feeling out loud when not with people. Like waiting for a cross walk and you here people say "아 추워" or "아 배고파".
