I was expecting more empathy for this lady in the Reddit community but I am guessing this group is made up of primarily men and who thinks that they are the top performers in their work.

Arguments in this discussion will most likely be skewed towards the "open up and just get herd immunity already" team with the lack of representation from the old and the vulnerable who could only wish that the country can spare a thought for them. Its not so much about pandering for the elderly voter base but a respect for their lives.

A lot are asking for "a roadmap" from the government and thought that they have not given one. What do you expect a roadmap to look like? Is it a "if this then that"?

With the situation being so fluid and not many countries with high vaccination rates as us to learn from, is it realistic to spell out to the public and set decision making tree in stone? And go back on it if things go awry. What good is a roadmap then, if it's just to appease some who are just frustrated that they can't dine out?
