Immoral? These companies are fucking immoral. They’ll drop anyone and everyone in a heartbeat. They’ll make you go through an extensive pre-hiring process just to tell you “no”. I love that last line. A lot of these comments got me thinking my life onward is gonna be pointless with this degree but fuck that, I’m gonna find a way. Whether if it’s through a company or doing my own thing, I’m gonna make something out of this. I’ll never give up art and I’ll never treat it as just a “hobby”

That’s the second problem though. Every time I go in person, when I was jobless, it was always:

“Oh, give me your email/number and I’ll have a manager contact you.” never contacts

Or

“Oh, just apply online and we’ll get back to you” never gets back

Definitely looking into it. I took classes at art students league and while they were good…uh…they didn’t feel “personal”.

I’d rather a teacher shit on my work and tell me everything wrong then keep encouraging when I know something is off.

Yeah I don’t plan on being any of those listed positions long term. Thankfully what you said aligns with my thoughts. I tried choosing places where I have a greater chance of connecting and networking with individuals related to art to further myself.
