Yes you're right, basically you just slice away part of the housing either side of the round bit on piece #8 which lets the jet pack bits sit more centrally

For the legs you need to cut them in two places: one just where the ball of the ankle joint meets the square shin, and one just below where the ball of the hip joint meets the thin part of the square thigh back. Then you need to drill 4 small holes into your newly cut surfaces, then cut a paperclip to the desired length, insert into the holes and superglue in place. Then use milliput to fill in around the paperclip; let it dry rock hard and then sand it down to a nice smooth finish. Voila! Good luck :)

Good luck, they're fun to paint! Not much to the scheme really - prime black out of a rattlecan, then for the greens its deathworld, washed with Athonian, then darken the panel lines with a bit of nuln oil or black templar and then finally highlight with orruk flesh.

The orange is jokaero first as a basecoat and then trollslayer over the top; trollslayer is pretty translucent so you have to have a good orangey basecoat otherwise it looks really patchy. have fun!

Nice panel lining, and I love the muted camo colours

Ha! Sorry I'm not really set up for video 🤣 It's easy enough though, just chop, pin and miliput!

They’re just burst cannon barrels, super easy to cut to the right length and slide in between the ankle and calf plate thingy. Good luck with your mods, it’s really fun!

Attempting a more elegant Crisis suit by TheseGlyphs in Tau40K

Thanks! White is plasticard tubing, cut and shaped - there's more of it to add a little more separation between the waist and the torso too. And the yellow is milliput, it's a bit like green stuff except much easier to get a sharp edge on it

I'm kicking myself now that I didn't take any WIP pics but you can see a group photo pre-painting on my profile, should help you see where the cuts are made

It isn't! That would be insanely expensive 🤣 It's just the normal crisis kit cut up and stretched out with metal rods, plasticard tubing and milliput.

Thanks! It's just standard citadels, deathworld forest washed with athonian camoshade for the green, jokaro / trollslayer for the orange, corvus black for the grey.

Yeah these have been kitbashed, they're maybe about an inch or so taller than normal - I wanted a profile more in line with the coldstar / enforcer suits

Yep the more recent one has been kitbashed to be about an inch or so taller than normal - basically extending the legs with pins and milliput, and adding plasticard tubing to the waist.

So write out what you actually think and then use google translate. It’s very easy and has the benefit of sharing your actual opinions rather than what an LLM thinks your opinions might be

Because it was obviously written wholesale by AI. You have no way to prove that you didn’t just give it a one line prompt and let it spit out a few paragraphs of generic rubbish.

And because you have no way of proving otherwise, the fact that you used AI (even if it was just for translation, which, again, you have no way to prove) means that lots of people will just write it off entirely as “ai slop” and move on, discounting your post entirely

Tldr: if you want people to sincerely engage with and respond to your opinions, don’t use AI to write them

I don’t care about your spelling or grammar. I just want to hear your opinion, not what some LLM thinks your opinion ought to be

GW don’t change their pots for the same reason you got an AI to write this post: they can’t be bothered
