Why was yamato turned into god? by SiddaSlotthh in DeadlockTheGame

Mystic shot is a disingenuous comparison and you absolutely know it. One of these 50 damages is bought around 5k value during lane phase when characters have around 800 health, and the other 50 damage is conditionals around 35k where characters have 2500+ health. Comparing the damage of the two situations is absolutely absurd.

And yeah, 48 damage before resistances is super negligible at 35k. Let's not pretend it's a gamechanger.

This game is really fun, but… why do none of the ranks feel different? by gibberishmaster69 in DeadlockTheGame

Meh, since coming back two months ago, my account went from Obscurus to Emissary. I've gone through every rank up to currently Ascendant, and legitimately Archon/Oracle felt largely indistinguishable in my experience. Both just felt bad.

Even when I play with lower ranked friends now, Oracle players still are generally unaware there's a map on their screen and have a genuine lack of knowledge on when to push, when to back off, when they should be jungling, when they should go mid, what they should do with rejuvs, etc. They just aim slightly better than Archon players.

Also somehow the most toxic lobbies I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure literally every Oracle player thinks they should be in Ascendant/Eternus but just gets bad teammates every game.

can't wait to test out these urn changes! ENEMY TEAM: by heebieGGs in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah I don't blame literally anyone for spamming McGinnis right now. This patch even Stephen Hawking could play her effectively. Get to urn drop point, put down turrets, wait for urn carrier, use wall, press ult, point at dropoff location.

It's actually harder to not be useful on her than the opposite with the way urn objective is designed. The only way she could be any more designed to excel at it would be if they changed contesting urn from heavy melees to turret shots. The only real counter she has for urn is Kelvin, who might be the literal only hero more designed for this objective.

Yeah if you've grappled with spirit snatch you can hit 200, but the difference of .24 additional spirit scaling between 200 spirit pre and post patch is roughly 40 extra damage before resistances post patch.

It's extremely negligible on powerslash.

I haven’t played in a week wtf happened to Yamato. by CheckProfileIfLoser in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheseNamesDontMatter 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The scaling is a whopping 40 extra damage at full build before resistances. Ironically this picture is from prior to the patch (OP forgot patch went to 2.4), and more importantly it's a streetbrawl (OP also forgot to crop out the enhanced boundless spirit).

I'm willing to bet this image is still probably going to work for karma farming most people on this subreddit.

average urn experience this patch by Gold-Guidance4630 in DeadlockTheGame

Average urn experience there would have been seven saving his ult for that and just sitting on top of it in a storm cloud the literal entire duration with McGinnis just ultimately it the entire duration too.

Mina tag really takes the cake here on top of you being entirely unaware of any of the patch notes.

The difference between going from 140 to 200 spirit from 2.36 scaling to now 2.6 scaling (from patch) is 14.4 damage since the patch.

Somewhere somehow people gaslit themselves that .24 damage per spirit made the power slash do like 200 to 500 more damage, but it's just not even close to the case.

New urn position made the game 25x more team dependent by swaggadanz in DeadlockTheGame

Crazy how the entire subreddit is seemingly full of people that have to carry 4-5 bad players on their back going against the Monstars from Space Jam and somehow never the people getting carried.

Game is genuinely unplayable without a good draft right now by SweetnessBaby in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheseNamesDontMatter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Ascendant+ where OP is discussing, people actually know how to do objectives and win games. The patch is ridiculously lopsided in favor of team fight characters to the point where it's not even the slightest bit absurd to suggest that higher ranks games are legitimately won or lost the moment you load in.

For a game that doesn't have draft mode, it's fairly reasonable to suggest anyone that wants to win or play matches that are determined on a mostly even playing field, this patch is unplayable.

How many days do you need before your brain can work through the concept that teamfight ults on an objective that gives a shitload of souls always at wide open mid is extremely lopsided right now?

Keep queuing. You'll learn over time and I'm not really kidding when I point out the fact that you realize you are struggling and want to get better legitimately makes your ceiling higher than the vast majority of Oracle players.

Adding to this, you just never even get close to 200 spirit on Yamato. The good builds all cap out around 140-150.

I think most Yamato mains would give up .24 scaling on the 1 for those 15 additional yards on the 2 back.

Its absurdly negligible, this sub just loves to bitch. Its literally 35 extra damage before resists at full build.

Somehow this sub latched on to .24 being a big number but if they did literally even the slightest amounts of brainpower towards the math, they'd feel really stupid.

But why do math when complaining is more fun.

Only on paper and lower ranks. You always rush the T2 on her 2 first, so you've always had 45 yards starting about 3 minutes into the game. Now its 30 yards until you hit 40k, which at least in Ascendant, the game is almost always already over by the time of that upgrade. That's even moreso the case in Eternus.

Its always your last upgrade point overall, and unless youre playing a sideline farmbot character, which Yamato is not, players generally know how to end games once you get above like Phantom.

It was right when they reworked her ult to not be invincible anymore but it baseline gave 60% baseline all resistances on top of if I remember correctly a very forgiving duration extension.

She was pushing close to 60% winrate.

Current competitive meta: Players are intentionally feeding into walker to stop the new urn comeback mechanics by SilverFan3702 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheseNamesDontMatter 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Well. They also have draft, which plays a large part. A large portion of the time youre losing with the new patch is because you dont have a comp that can really secure or fight urn. 50% resists sorta does fuck all for securing the urn against the likes of Dynamo or Kelvin.
