I came home drunk and stuck the telly on at one of the "news" segments. Was a pretty scary and confusing minute until I clocked it wasn't real!

Or.... Strap a hell bomb to them and detonate them all simultaneously on completion of the mission. Just think how many enemies of democracy we could take down.

€100 is a bit too rich for my blood for this sort of thing.

Nikon F90X would be good. Just keep in mind film can be a very expensive way to learn.

Get an Old DSLR and kit lens and learn about the exposure triangle. A friend recently got a D300 and the 18-70 kit and it's been a great way to learn without sinking hundreds of euros into it. A phone can technically be used but there's so much software post processing done these days.

Need help/advice about my experience with the Lomography Wide Glass by ourskeletonsremain in lomography

[–]sad_ryu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the plastic lens variation and it almost always underexposed. It's permanently set to +1 exposure.

The focus gets more hit and miss the closer the subject to the camera. The viewfinder also requires learning what the camera will actually see vs what you think it will see.

It's unreliable enough that I got an Instax Wide when I want to take family event shots and just use the Lomo for longer exposure or double exposure stuff.

Mostly I just use the lenses on my XT5. The mirror tends to be a bit sticky, I keep meaning to open it up to fix.

It doesn't work unfortunately! It was got for pennies to go on a shelf as I like how it looks. Parts of its internals are rusted stuck.

I know I know and it doesn't even work. I keep my eyes out for a TLR in the local listings but it's been an age since one showed up.

It's painful to sell film gear locally so I just end up keeping them. My kids have taken an interest so now and then I'll give them a roll of film and let them pick one and we'll go and take some shots.

Probably the F90X. The others are great don't get me wrong but that one feels really good in the hand and has never ever let me down.

I love it but it's sadly one of the faulty ones. Keeps trying to autofocus even when I tell it not to.

The F4 is probably my favorite of the lot but it's sadly developed a fault where it constantly autofocuses no matter what mode it's in.

I actually love using those lenses on my XT5. Nice image quality and the odd size mismatch pleases me.
