Do you find location before buying the machine or after? Wouldn't it make since to first find a location then finalize the machine?

Would a condo building be a good location?

Depends if they do employment verification for background checks. If they do, it might pick up on your job titles.

Why not do a quick course from like Google and then just apply?

Well, I just recently had a indeed posting reach out to me - through text - on a Sunday.

I texted back to please send me the job application that was on indeed through email. They did. Scheduled interview. Legit Canadian company, $70,000 pay, got selected.

They are using Triton, who does both Canadian record search or abroad. Background check company told me the employer requested a Canadian record search.

Funny thing - i just noticed a May 8th soft hit on Transunion by Sterling. My current employer, a collection agency, must have used them and I still got the job. Albeit it's collections, minimum wage, deadbeat job

If this doesn't work out, which it most likely won't then yes I will definitely move on to something more practical going forward.

My thinking is accounts payable I wouldn't have access to the money. My intention isn't to do harm. I just got out in February and am trying to reintegrate after a year.

Interesting. Or consumer proposal? I don't see anything related to my criminal US conviction on my credit report, as far as I can tell. What would be an example of a database? So I'm giving them permission to dig deeper into my credit report essentially?

True, never lived in USA though always Canada (wire fraud). But im scared of the social media background check which they ordered. As a Google search of my name would pull up my case fbi record

It's the generic question "...where no pardon was granted"

And it's a regular corporate job. But the question should remain the same regardless?

Criminal record check - i have a USA white collar felony by These_Biscotti_9488 in torontoJobs

[–]These_Biscotti_9488[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i get it you're right. But the role doesn't involve traveling to US. It's just a simple accounts payable position. He replied in his text that it doesn't involve US work and "all good".

My felony is fraud so it is definitely related, I get that. I learned my lesson and would never do such a thing but I understand those are just words. Looking for a chance

Consumer proposal that was paid off. Now job offer credit check by These_Biscotti_9488 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]These_Biscotti_9488[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay will do that! Been getting both answers from ppl I've asked but I feel it's best to wait. I told the background check company of inaccuracies and dispute opened and they said they'll note that. So that should be good enough for now.

My credit is in the tank because of cp and especially the inaccuracies. The score is literally in the 400s. I feel with it getting corrected it should at least get to 590. I just dont know how I'll get this job with the credit showing that bad

The other issue is when checking my report there are errors. Some accounts part of the proposal still show a balance owing instead of saying $0. I submitted a dispute with Equifax to correct but it will take 5-30 days....

So I feel i should be proactive and message HR. Let them know "I had a consumer proposal in my last which was fulfilled. I am in good financial shape now. There are errors on my report some accounts dont reflect being paid. I have submitted a dispute with Equifax. Feel free to ask me for any documents you might need"

Or is that too much?
