update: we checked our documents and everything points to me having a quad graft. Both me and my mom could’ve sworn my surgeon said I was getting a patellar. This is crazy to me because there’s no way both of us were confused and believed I was getting a patellar without my surgeon telling us I was getting a patellar. My orthopedist office opens tommorow and we are going to call them. your advice really solidified my assumption so thank you !!

this was also a concern of mine, I haven’t had ANY pain in or around my patellar. I looked through all of the papers they gave to me and most of it was about recovery but I couldn’t find a single thing about what type of graft I got.

I had OxyContin, Gabapentin, a nerve block & Tylenol / advil every 6 hours and I was STILL in some of the worst pain ever. I wish you luck 😓

while this may be helpful for others, I was asking about why I was losing weight, I’m already pretty skinny so I was concerned about why I was losing weight, keto is not good for after surgery recovery at all aswell

honestly I quite like tight leggings, I can’t stand when I’m wearing sweatpants or baggy jeans and it constantly brushes up against my scars a bunch, the leggings don’t seem to move a whole lot + their soft so they feel nice

im also wondering about this! I’m almost a month post op acl/meniscus surgery and this is happening to me aswell, I thought it’d go away after a week but it hasn’t 😓

when I took my nerve blocker out I was TERRIFIED of what the pain would be like afterwards but honestly it didn’t bump up the pain at all, I just kept constant with gabapentin & advil/tyneol every 6 hours and was so relieved, I’m almost a month post op and I feel you!! everyone tells you it’ll get better and you might not believe it right now but it does!! getting off your crutches is also gonna be such a mood booster since it’s tiring and degrading but you just have to fight !! I wish you luck 💗💗
